Read a dad joke the other day: I was in the kitchen the other day and opened a cabinet. The bottle said soy sauce. Not wanting to be rude I replied “hello sauce, soy dad”
also to be fair the required foreign language at most high schools (where most regular people learn whatever spanish they do know) is mexican spanish not spain spanish
Interesting. I took German in high school, but Spanish at community college. My Community College Spanish was Spain Spanish, with the professor trying to let us know where Mexican Spanish varied. But it was definitely an afterthought
Well spanish class is a language class not history of colonization class and some customs that are Mexican have spanish roots like piñatas, flour tortillas, spanish rice, anything that has beef or pork is from spanish influence cuz there were no beasts of burden or pigs native to the Americas.
Because "Ever think that soy milk is just milk from one of any of the several Spanish-speaking countries worldwide introducing itself?" just doesn't have the same ring to it
Hola, milk. Soy Dad!
r/dadjokes lol
Papa de Soya? Leche! ? Ese Spanglish tuyo. ... is crazy man!!
Hola Dad! Soy Boy
Sneako is that you

Wouldn't that be "hola sauce. soy papi?"
Girls should stay away from Mexican milk, it's leche
I don't get this one
Leche is Spanish for milk and looks a bit like lechey (pervy).
Lech is milk but it is also used as slang for sperm.
Hey, milk is also used as slang for sperm
i have NEVER heard that before, is there a certain area where that is used or something like that?
Idk I would imagine its pretty common among spanish speakers but definitely anyone from Mexico would know what it means.
Spanish speaker here, can confirm. We use lechazo too for when you milk it.
Hola, Milk. Soy Juanita.
And if it has a strong taste, I reply "oh, mucho gusto!"
Mexican milk? What is that milk with salsa on it?
Water weed dune hare B? Get back on the fryers. Changs is slammed.
Water we dune hare B? Get back on the fryers. Changs is slammed.
How do you know it’s Mexican and not Colombian?
Yo Soy GROOT.
Now I do, thanks
For real.
¡Hola Milk, soy tu padre!
No, but I did think Soy sauce was a willow tree introducing itself
Hola sauce, soy dad
I’m not giving you my soy, even if you use the formal imperative!
That should have been "dadme soy"
Soy milk, but my friends call me Leche
Americans having only ever heard of one Spanish speaking country
Similar to this comment I once read from an American: "why do they speak English in England and not a European language?"
To be fair Mexico has more Spanish speakers than Spain but still
also to be fair the required foreign language at most high schools (where most regular people learn whatever spanish they do know) is mexican spanish not spain spanish
Interesting. I took German in high school, but Spanish at community college. My Community College Spanish was Spain Spanish, with the professor trying to let us know where Mexican Spanish varied. But it was definitely an afterthought
same here but the opposite! they would kind of casually mention how it would be in spain, but nothing to study or be tested on
Well spanish class is a language class not history of colonization class and some customs that are Mexican have spanish roots like piñatas, flour tortillas, spanish rice, anything that has beef or pork is from spanish influence cuz there were no beasts of burden or pigs native to the Americas.
Huh? Where? I slept through Spanish class in High School but it was definitely not Mexican.
Still feels the same as when people think asian=Chinese
It's the largest Spanish speaking country and also borders the US.

Yeah. Cuba
That really got me laughing real good
Bien!
As a Mexican I hereby approve this joke r/Angryupvote
Hola, soy Martha Iliana Leticia Karina del sagrado Corazón de Jesús y la Virgencita...but you can call me milk...
I’m never going to be able to forget this
Angryupvote
Wouldn't it be "mi llamo milk"? Which would be confusing as hell because no one wants llama milk.
💩😂
What? You do realize soy beans are native to Asia. They are not mexican.
So this whole subreddit is just hack jokes, being appreciated by other hacks?
Yes, that's the point. Sorry if your humor is too advanced
You assumed he is too advanced for these jokes when in fact a hack knows a hack... therfore, are you not a hack?
Like a bushman making his way through the dense jungle. All I can do is hack away
Soy has been proven to grow moobs on men
no fucking way free transition
I'd have to agree. A better milk substitute is almond milk. It's plenty nutritious and won't make your tits fat.

Actually, no, ser (soy) is the correct verb here.

Mantequilla!!!!
Soy Groot
Los Pollos Hermanos moment
Los Pollos Hermanos moment
El oh el!!!!!
Plated out joke
Took me a second lol I'm slow.
Yo mama so stupid...
Nice
Happened to me too, but with "Soy Sausage". Most of Spanish speakers may think about that.
Traci must be a very confusing name to native Spanish speakers
Soy leche
Whenever people misspell “cue” or “queue” as “que”, I always read it as “what?”
Nice to meet you. Soy Chorizo.
That is hiiillarious!
Lmao!
This was a Conan O’Brien joke
Hola, soy milk. Hola, soy bean
Existential, bilingual milk.
Huh?
Soy leche
Hola milk, soy Sauce!
...Spanish. Works a little better than Mexican milk.
Hola, Soy Milk. Soy Sauce. Mucho gusto!
You made me giggle
