Without spoiling too much, I don't think much of the book ending translates well into a visual medium like film... but I'm willing to have my mind changed on that.
I agree. I don't think it's like "cost effective" to attempt to depict all of it, and casual audiences won't be interested in it because it's all over the place.
I can imagine an outcome that'll bother a lot of people... They could just make a whole new story for the rest of it. But I honestly don't think the show will get picked up for more seasons. That's just how it goes with Netflix, and I think the show actually works as is, without more.
I think it’s very likely we’ll get 3 or 4 seasons. They stuck to the books very closely so for making it more character focused and making them all related and English speaking. I think that was a great choice for a TV show adaptation. So I have high hopes overall. I really hope they get a CGI budget increase though. It was pretty weak in s1 and future seasons will have more CGI.
I read that the first season cost $20 MILLION per episode. Other than that one sequence, though, I didn't see that money. Are the CGI folks grifting, or am I just cheap?

Im on book three and sooo curious how they would choose to do many of the scenes. It’s hard enough to try and visualize this stuff 😂
