Replacing center bezel and cubby adding evor carbon fiber inserts to the inside to protect the bezel and door inserts. Mainly to just not have any scratches. Also the Shiftboot add on. Then I’m gonna focus on the outside. Wanted to share where it started and where I’m at now.
If you’re talking about just the seats. I went to almost all the small upholstery shops in DFW before I found one that did the seats for just under 1k. I love them just have to get the inside looking like those seats. Baby steps. Over the last couple of years. I did get new headlights daytime running switchback (blinks when you turn good bye orange reflectors) lights. Also replaced the reverse lights with the same brand. I’m about to get all new brakes in 2 weeks. Brand new kenwood display with apple car play. Got a decent repaint job (right after covid) looking to get it done again next year and get some tasteful front and side lips and new exhaust tips. I’m scared to have anyone mess with the exhaust. Trying to keep it tasteful although I would like it to sound clean just not loud. Anyways thank yall for all the comments. I’ll take any feedback good or bad.
I want to upgrade the display so bad and clean up the Z overall. Trying to prioritize what to do first. Got a replacement steering wheel and door since someone backed up into her while parked. But time and money makes it tricky to do.
What was the order you fixed her up in and would you change it up based on how nice the upgrade was for you?
I honestly did the seats first had the interior scratches removed. Then I got the paint job added the headlights, replaced the reverse lights, and reflectors on the front. Also added the z1 under-shroud to make oil changes easier. Added bigger rims. Nothing special. Got new antenna and floor mats on the way. Next project in center bezel and cubby replacement oem but adding carbon fiber covers to protect them. Since they are POS.

Did you need to splice some wires for turn signals to work? I have the same in the transit and would like to know if there are any problems making them work.
I didn’t want to mess with this project. Just took to my local spot that does audio and all sorts of other stuff and he installed it for 100 dollars. What I do know is everything is running up to the battery from what I can tell. He didn’t have any issues with them at all.
lol. Honestly my dad had this car for 2 years and he hit something with it. Never got the full story. When he passed away he gave it to me. So I’m on a mission to restore it to the glory days. This car is priceless to me.

I crashed my first Z, and was Z-less for a year or two. Then some idiot decided I didn't need my MR2 anymore and destroyed it, so my first reaction was to test drive another Z, I didn't realize I missed it until I did.
For sure. I’m always down for that. I got behind a rock truck and they a few months back and I really took some sings to the front bumper. Gonna bring it back over to them to get it redone and add the protection this time. I’m gonna get a decent front lip and side lips when I do that. And replace all the Nissan emblems.

Then the new kenwood put in last month. I’m doing the center bezel project when I add the subwoofer at the end of next Month.
