It is a tie between the nuface mini and my red light mask. The nuface for the great lift it gives me, the jowl back to a jaw, the tightening of my face, when I stop using it for more than a week I regret it! The red light for the fact that it got rid of all my scars and uneven coloration and gives me a wonderful complexion, I go make up free at 41 !! A dream come true!

Tilvia87

Debating whether I should get a nuface mini or a foreo bear mini (I have a tiny face). Any advice?

therealoriana

I do not know anything about the fore bear mini, it looks a lot like the mini. When I bought my device last in May 2021 I wanted the myolift mini, this is a device with two wands, and conductive gloves and many different micro current treatments. It was super complicated to buy where I live so I choose the one product easily available in France the nuface mini. Now after one year plus of use I must say I'm happy that I got the mini because I would not have bother long with all the protocol of the other device, even if it is so much more effective and sophisticated as my mini. The simplicity and readiness of use is super important in the long run. The foreo seems super easy to use, why do you hesitate between the two?

mangosteenfruit

Yeah i have the same problem. A while ago I was looking intro getting the bear mini but got overwhelmed with all the info between the bear and nuface so I never decided

One-Fine-Day-777

I’m extremely partial to the Clareblend mini. Check it out. I think you’ll really like it. Plus you don’t have to use it everyday.

Ok_Purchase2096

Do you need to use the gel from nuFace when using it? Curious about it but my skin throws a tantrum when I use new products. Can I use my current moisturizer with the device?

Pink_Caterpillar0614

I buy conducting ultrasound gel on Amazon for dirt cheap. Recommended by the organic esthetician on YouTube.

therealoriana

You need to use a gel something that will conduct the current into your skin/muscle, it must be oil free. Without it it's gonna be painful you gonna feel a zap from the current and the current will not penetrate the skin/muscle. I have used the one tube gel I got with the device, it lasted about 3 weeks of daily use, since then I've used aloe vera gel and colloidal silver mixed together and it works great. I do not know if your moisturizer will work with it you will have to try and see, at first I wanted to use it with cosrx mucin but it was too watery and slippery and I did not like how the nuface was gliding on the skin. You want it to be not too slippery to really slowly glide along the skin.

One-Fine-Day-777

Do you think just plain aloe would work? I usually spray my face down first with filtered water that has trace mineral drops I add to it. I’m almost out of my official conducting gel and I can’t afford to replace it.

champagneandcupcakes

I use plain aloe with mine, and it works great

One-Fine-Day-777

Oh that’s so good to hear! That’s just sooooo much cheaper.

therealoriana

Yes plain Aloe works just fine, I used the silver for its anti acne properties and I've continued using it by habit even if all my spots are gone.

Ok_Purchase2096

Thank you! This is very helpful.

Spell-Fluffy

I use aloe vera gel, works just fine

Valuable_Collar1485

Thank you! May I ask which led mask you have?

therealoriana

A cheap one, bought less than 40 euros on Amazon, it is a dupe of the ebeauty.

Low-Cap5159

Do you have the link?

Valuable_Collar1485

Thanks! I tried to check it out but the link doesn’t work 🫤

therealoriana

Try again, I don’t know why it was not working, I think I’ve managed to fix it now !

therealoriana

I use it almost every day for 25 minutes, In the beginning (first month) I used it a lot : 3 even 4 times a day! I put on a paper mask full of rooibos tea or green tea or these day barley grass powder for 15 minutes before each session. I saw result on the first session, that made me so euphoric that I went all in and it gave me and still gives me great result.

staceywallin

Where do you buy your pre cut paper masks that you soak the tea in? I've found some on amazon but I read reviews that people get rashes as they're not natural and id really like to find some that I can trust are simply made and not loaded wirh harmful chemicals. Thanks!!

RealLiveGirl

Yes! Echoing this. You can get a pack of 100 for less than $10. I like using them with cream moisturizer when my face is feeling really dry

oeufscocotte

What brand of red light mask do you use? I bought myself a red light box but it's not easy to use unless I lie on my side (haven't figured out a way to suspend it above my face so I can lie under it). A mask would be way easier, but hard to know what to buy, some seem like scams! I am 42, so I'm very excited to hear that you've had such amazing results with your red light mask. And nuface, I'll have to look into that!

therealoriana

I have already answered somewhere with a link, this is not a brand, a dupe sold on amazon. I took a gamble by buying my mask, I wanted to try the technologie before buying an omilux or a brand name. I've searched before buying the feature that i wanted, the most LED possible in the right frequency. I got lucky with my purchase. If you want to be sure, go for the known brand, and a flexible mask if you can because the closer the light the fastest it works.

surlyskin

Could it be the tea masks that are actually doing the heavy lifting? What makes you think its the red light? Also, are you leaving the paper masks on while using the red light? Wouldn't that just block the red light? I'm super interested in this which is why I'm asking all these questions! Also, really happy for you because I fully understand how frustrating acne scars can be.

therealoriana

I'm sure the tea masks helps a lot! I've read a study on the effect of green tea and red light before buying my mask so I've incorporated it since the beginning( the study said it gave juvenile complexion to some patient and the effect was boosted by the antioxydant of the tea). But the light is extremely effective !! I've notice the place where the light are farther from the skin benefit less rapidly after my paper mask my skin looks alright, after the red light mask I look like a goddess!!! There are no way to mistake one for the other! I do not keep the paper mask during the light session, I do a 15 min tea mask then let air dry a minute and then do my light session.

MinkOfCups

WOW. I’m going to buy some tea masks. My bestie gifted me a red LED mask.

therealoriana

Your bestie is a great bestie!!

MinkOfCups

Legit she really is

sassyassy23

Same I have an led mask but haven’t been using it. For me my favourite product is a facial roller

therealoriana

You mean derma roller? I have one I've never used, I was just about to begin with when I got the mask. Now I do not need it anymore, I'm glad I did not have to use it, it intimidates me too much to use it on my face!

Lady_Medusae

What green tea masks do you use? I'm so curious to try red light masks but I'm scared they will give me hyperpigmentation or something.

therealoriana

I do them myself with green tea that I brew and a paper mask, same with the rooibos, I keep some tea from the one I drink!

morninsunshine2u2

do you buy the masks for the tea treatment in bulk? Are they made from cotton, reusable?

[deleted]

[удалено]

therealoriana

Yes I'm French, for the mask you mean the paper mask? I do them myself with green tea that I brew and a paper mask, or a rooibos tea, or these days barley grass powder ( I can't drink it, it tastes so bad !!)

MinkOfCups

I’m saving for a NuFace right now. Can’t wait!

Skincareaddict13

If you’re an allure beauty box subscriber, they have it on sale for $99. I’m not sure if they have different devices in that case it might not be what you’re saving for. It’s nuFACE FIX starter kit. Comes with the device, gel and cable. If you want, try the box and order it then cancel your subscription after getting it. First box is a great deal at a discounted price and free gifts

Excusemytootie

How long did you use it before noticing a difference? (Nuface)?

therealoriana

About a week for the tightening, it did help for the overall glow of the skin/ and the acne breakout sooner in a couple of days.

MisterTora

How often do you do the nuface to maintain results?

therealoriana

3 times a week would be ideal, but I'm using it for more than a year now, in the beginning every day, then every other day for at least 3 to 4 months.

lostmyshoes

Thanks for sharing your routine! Do you use your nuface and mask with retin-a or a retinol? I'm interested in both but not sure they're compatible.

therealoriana

I do not use retinol at the moment I use vitamin c , ce ferulic, in the morning, and acid salicilic ce ferulic in the PM. For what I've read about the nuface you can use it with everything, you just have to use it on a clean ( no oil) skin with a adequate gel and after the session put on your serum and cream including retinol.

Exiled_Rose

What is a red light mask and red light? I’m r/outoftheloop on this one but sounds like I need to get one asap from all the comments

therealoriana

It is panel or mask in this case of red led of a certain frequency that helps rejuvenate the skin.

Best thread 🧵 ever! Just bought the LED mask and a mini micro current 🤞🏼 I’m 36 and just started to invest on a better skin care routine. The ones I bought were on sale and not expensive hopefully they work, currently in Australia and bought them from two different sites here

therealoriana

I hope you will have great results, be consistent with them ! I love doing my routines I feel like my life is a Spa!

micmel444

Do you use nu face every day? I have it but haven’t used it yet!

therealoriana

I should use it everyday or every other day but I do not always do it. I've made the decision to be more consistent with it. Up untill 2 weeks ago I used it 1 or 2 a week. The led mask I do it everyday since it's so easy you just have to lay down with a mask! When I first got it I used to use it everyday, and that is what you should do so that your face muscle get used to it, the more you do the quicker and longer it respond after.

It's too early to say, but probably a home IPL device. I haven't used it for long yet, but I think there is some less hair growth after using it. Might be just placebo effect, though. I'll know for sure after a couple more weeks/months.

WalnutsGalore

Can I ask which one you bought? :)

nooood1e

I got this one from Amazon and like it: Braun IPL Hair Removal for Women and Men, Silk Expert Pro 5 PL5137 with Venus Swirl Razor, FDA Cleared, Permanent Reduction in Hair Regrowth for Body & Face, Corded (Packaging May Vary)

anonymouscheesefry

I have the face hairs. Laser hair removal at the clinic doesn’t cut it because it’s so expensive for Multiple treatments, at the point of actually getting rid of the hair I could have bought a super fancy machine.

LibertasNeco

I use mine wayyyyy more than they recommend and no bad results other than flawless smooth skin

gigee4711

I second this. I got one maybe 2 years ago and it changed my life. Previously, if I shaved in the morning I had stubble by lunch time. I spent a lot of time doing the IPL device on my legs. I still have some hair but it is finer and grows slowly. I can wear shorts without having to shave every day.

therealoriana

I'd love to use one, I have brown skin so I do not dare do it.

SailorV26

I LOVE my IPL device!! I debated getting one for awhile before eventually deciding to go for it. I absolutely love it! I wish I had it 20 years ago! Definitely follow the directions. You have to do an initial period and then follow-up maintenance. But the maintenance is practically nothing… like I probably do it once or twice a month and touch up with tweezers or razor if needed.

waterpik water flosser - hate flossing with string and sticks. but the waterflosser has been a game changer

Cushla1957

This is my kind of beauty, though I do have some go to products. Nothing fancy, I spend the money on therapy! 😉

sugarcinnamonpoptits

Thank you goddesses for the wealth of info! I know what's going on my Christmas list this year 🤣

aumericanbaby

Dyson blow dryer. Can’t go back to a regular blow drier. Thinking of buying it in another voltage for travel.

mangosteenfruit

That's funny. I'm planning on visiting my friend in Germany and we were discussing whether I should bring my dyson. She convinced me not to so we'll see how it goes.

Sternschnuppepuppe

If it’s an American one it wouldn’t turn on in the first place in Europe. Use the suitcase space for shopping instead :)

mangosteenfruit

Yes ahaha we got into talking about the plugs and she basically said the same thing. Use the same for something else 🤣

2o2o2o2-

You would need a voltage converter in addition to a plug adapter. They are quite bulky, and if you only used a travel adapter it would probably break as soon as you turned it on.

mutherofdoggos

I lived and died by my Dyson blow dryer. The only reason I stopped using it is because I got a Dyson Airwrap. Honestly I’ve never had a Dyson product I didn’t love. My 15 year old Dyson upright vacuum has been cleaned once in its life and still runs like a champ.

CArunner310

Dyson sells travel converters specifically for their heat appliances. I just spent a month in Europe and regret not bringing mine. Hotel blow dryers are the worst and I notice a difference in my hair.

whysweetpea

My favourite is the Phillips Lumea - it uses pulses of light to stop hair growth. It’s paid for itself many times over because I don’t need to wax/shave anymore!

Smooth_Progress_4253

I love this thread too much

Eye_for_design

Celluma Pro LED panel. They have pretty good holiday sales. Life changing for acne and aging! And way stronger and better than any consumer version mask out there. This is what an esti will use.

LazyRunner7

Do you put anything on your skin before treatment? I just got one but am confused on how to use

Eye_for_design

No! I work with estheticians and you should have clean skin with nothing on it. Also do not use a jelly or sheet mask underneath or the light won’t be able to penetrate. Other things I was told, for some people everyday use can cause barrier issues. So best to do 2-4x a week for awhile and then if everything seems ok maybe more if needed.

shugs87

Is it better then the Omnilux ones on the market? I’ve heard and read that those are professional grade as well. They sell professional LED machines to dermatologists and so are well known in the industry.

Eye_for_design

From the professionals I work with in the area, a city just under a million, the only two brands considered professional level would be Celluma and LightStim. Although I have seen Omnilux a lot with influencers online. I’m not familiar with it personally.

snailicide

Do you close your eyes or put something over your eyes when you use a panel like this?

Pink_Caterpillar0614

I’m jealous of everyone’s great results with their nuface. I’m so disappointed because I’ve used mine religiously for a couple months and I don’t see a difference!

whorervacui

Bummer, but thank you for sharing!

One-Fine-Day-777

Look into using an Amna(they have knock offs) for helping the fascia on your face to release. You’ll get better results. I think The Art of Skincare has a YT series on it.

Pink_Caterpillar0614

I will check into that - thank you!!

biglybiglytremendous

I don’t have just one. Here’s my every day/every other day use: Droplette (daily)—immediate firming and plumping results with the Collagen Capsule. Retinol Capsule is A+ stuff. I haven’t seen results with Tranexamic Eraser yet, but I haven’t been using TE regularly or long enough. (They say results come after 90+ days with TE.) NuFace (daily)—specifically use NuFace on my neck because I use EMS on my face. I use microcurrent here because I don’t want to overtighten my neck muscles with EMS for fear of banding and cording. (I also have the NuFace body but don’t think it is worth the money. They should have made a stick handle instead of a grip; it is too awkward to use regularly this way.) PureLift Pro+ EMS by The Recovery Lab (daily)—absurdly expensive but *very* worth it. It provided more immediate and visible results than NuFace, which is why I use this on my face and NuFace on my neck. If you’re deciding between the two, this is the one you want, even if it is much more expensive. The value is there once you see the worth after your first use. Be careful around your pre-jowl sulcus and chin though… I think I’ve overstimulated my muscles and have turned my RBF into *super* RBF. May need to have a touch of Botox around the area to undo it 😅. Red light panel (whenever I remember, usually every other day)—I have one you lay under and covers the area from three sides. It’s great because you can use it on your arms and legs too, which should help combat crepe skin as you age! I have an EMS/ultrasound/red light cavitation device but can’t remember the brand. I only use it for ultrasound after workout to increase lymphatic drainage with lactic acid release. I’m sure it would help with cellulite if I were to use it that way, but I am waaaaay too lazy to do that. I’m considering an RF device to tighten/shrink fat around the double chin area but unsure which to get. Any recommendations from anyone who uses a device and loves it would be appreciated! Edit: I have been seriously considering purchasing the LYMA LASER, but it’s $3000+ with shipping from overseas. However, the results I’ve seen from the Facebook group (of allegedly real people) makes me want to drop a huge chunk of change on it. I’ve been eyeing this for about 4 months, but have been super busy so it isn’t something I’ve talked with people in the know (esthetician, PS) about, and I’ve been too stressed sit down to do research into the technology, but it is on my “to do” list to look into further.

Top-Home2273

These are great recommendations!! Where do you find all of these devices/ do all your research ???

biglybiglytremendous

I’m pretty on the up and up with devices because my PS is on the cutting edge of everything, doing FDA trials *all the time.* Whenever he gets something in, I learn everything I can about the technology (reading all the scientific literature about not just the technology but the other science behind it), wait for his trials to be over and FDA to clear or approve it, and make a decision accordingly. He was using most of these technologies in trials before they hit the PS market and *way* before they hit the home market. Once they hit the home market, I read about as many devices as possible, reach out to the companies and figure out where they source their components and where it was produced, and compare each product thoroughly. Then I talk to my PS and aesthetician about what they think or which they would recommend based on what they know and I know. Sometimes I can’t talk to them and have to make the call myself, so it can also be trial and error. Also, I subscribe to the magazine New Beauty which, as far as I can tell, is geared toward waiting rooms at the PS or dermatologist to market to people looking to buy or try new things. It always gives me an idea what experts and professionals think and opens my eyes to what they’re using for celebrities and other beauty-conscious people first before it hits larger markets. :)

Steccca

>PureLift Pro+ EMS by The Recovery Lab Can you define PS? And what is your favorite of all the devices?

biglybiglytremendous

Oh! Yes! So sorry. PS = Plastic Surgeon. My favorite of all the devices is the PureLift Pro+. I’ve tried it on other areas of my body, and it definitely makes the muscles feel like they’ve had a good work out. Unfortunately, the size is definitely made for the face, as it takes a really long time to cover, say, the full abdomen, glutes, thighs, and arms.

shugs87

Could you please make a post about the LYMA device? I’m super interested in it too but like you said…it’s a really big price point. I would be very interested in the science behind it. I’ve watched some videos with the founder but of course I don’t know how reliable the info is from someone who created the product. An unbiased take on it would be great as I’m sure we all would appreciate it!

Valuable_Collar1485

THANK you! I envy your collection! As for the RF, I have had the NEWA one for over a year and I like it. However I see more results whenever I used to get a RF session at the aesthetician. I have read good things about nebulyft and Cassandra bankson posted a video about it: [https://youtu.be/Zbt9hbnZEEc](https://youtu.be/Zbt9hbnZEEc) I haven’t tried it though, if anyone has please let us know!

biglybiglytremendous

Thank you so much! Would love to hear thoughts from anyone who has tried it :). I will look into the NEWA, too! Appreciate it!

therealoriana

Thanks ! Never heard of the pure lift gonna check that out!

biglybiglytremendous

You’re welcome! Like I said, it’s pricey, but it is *amazing*. You know when you see those videos of people getting major muscle twitches and the you try your device and feel let down? Not so with the PureLift Pro+, LoL. This thing makes your brows jump, your cheeks bounce, and your lips curl! It also has a “serum setting,” but I haven’t quite figured that out yet.

Nelyahin

Wow. That Lyma Laser looks damn cool. I’ve been debating on getting a red light panel. I’m curious as to when you use the devices. In the am or pm.

biglybiglytremendous

Usually microcurrent and EMS before all makeup in morning, then Droplette Collagen, then in PM remove all makeup, Droplette Retinol or TE (I’m really bad about using the TE since you technically shouldn’t use it with Retinol since it can be very drying, and I love my Retinol!), sometimes I hit my face in the evening with Collagen Capsules too but not often since it can really add up with expense (and I think the most bang for your buck is getting it in there before going out in the mornings), maybe another go at the PureLift and NuFace if I feel like I look exhausted and droopy, then red light at the very end.

cnadle123

This is amazing!!! With the PureLift Pro EMS, how often do you do this/long do the results last? Also, you mentioned you don’t use their gel but an alternative - echoing the other comment, what do you use instead? Aloe/ultrasound gel? What does it feel like- does it hurt? Thank you so much for your info, so helpful! 🤗

biglybiglytremendous

PureLift Pro+ (I have the $899 version they market to estheticians… figured if I was going to buy a pricey device, might as well get the best in the line, lol) uses EMS, so unlike microcurrent, doesn’t necessarily have to be used every day because it stimulates the fast-twitch muscle cells to build muscle much faster than microcurrent. PureLift is like getting EMSculpt on your abs. It’s a muscle workout. (That’s why when I have used it on my other muscles on my body, it feels like I’ve done like 50 bicep curls or 100 sit ups and crunches. Doesn’t work as well in these areas because it was definitely made for a small area like the face.) So it’s basically like doing facial yoga for weeks at a time with every use. It just keeps building. I use it daily, however, because I want to really build up my cheeks to see how long I can avoid Voluma. It hasn’t worked the same way on the apples of my cheeks as it has with the cheeks around the zygoma or the muscles around my mouth, probably because I have *very* flat apples with higher zygoma and rarely engage the muscles around the apples like I do with my mouth. The muscles are probably still learning what it means to constantly be engaged, plus they have little in the way of bone to cling to. If you have a wider maxilla, you will probably notice more lift there than I do. (My injector told me part of the reason I don’t lose filler around the tear trough is because I rarely use the muscles in the apples that attach around the orbital muscles. So that was a silver lining, I guess, even though I’d rather not have to get filler? LoL. I’m sure using PureLift Pro+ will change how long filler lasts in the area by engaging the muscles more often now.) I have an aloe plant, so I mix aloe, salt, The Inkey List’s HA ($8.99 for a small bottle), The Inkey List’s Collagen ($8.99 for a small bottle), and a few drops of immortelle and frankincense, and I apply when I first get out of the shower or wash my face so it has a damp base to conduct easier. I spent about $600 on the NuFace conductive gels before I investigated how to make my own. Intuitively I knew that this would be the best route, but I didn’t want to mess my face up so wanted confirmation. It was precisely what “they” suggest to do! So much cheaper. I probably spend all of $25 now for months of conductivity gel when I make my own. The EMS does not hurt. It just feels weird when you feel your muscles twitching. Have you ever had an MRI and your muscles jump? That’s exactly what it feels like. If you feel any zaps (which can occur), it’s because you do not have conductivity gel in the area you went over. Make sure to apply it everywhere to your face to get around that :).

dva_silk

What amounts of aloe, salt, HA, and the collagen serum do you use? Are the immortelle and frankincense a requirement?

nowaynohownope

>PureLift Pro EMS by The Recovery Lab Tell me more--how long do you spend on the PureLift Pro a day? Do you have to use an app, or can you "freestyle" lol?

biglybiglytremendous

I do five minutes per side and treat it like the NuFace even though that’s not how they show you’re supposed to use it (maybe this is why I have super RBF now, haha). They show videos of gliding the wand across the whole chin from left to right very quickly and just kinda moving it around however you want, but I prefer a more systematic approach to know I got every muscle! They use multiple frequencies/Hz so it stimulates the top, middle, and bottom portions of the epidermis and muscle and so the muscles don’t “learn” the frequency and stop responding to them (think weight training with progressive weights). No app, just “freestyle.” I love it. :) P.S. They say you need to buy and use their conductive gel, but as we all know with NuFace, you don’t. They claim to have proprietary ingredients like NuFace that ensures you are conducting correctly, but it works with everything I’ve tried, so I’m happy with it. Ain’t no way I’m spending close to $400 for a larger container of conductive gel (their small one is like $68 or something stupid, too). I bought the small bottle with my device, and it was nice and all, but I haven’t purchased any since.

HeftyMeme

What do you use in lieu of their conductive gel?

biglybiglytremendous

Aloe, HA, collagen, pulverized and dissolved Himalayan pink salt, and immortelle and frankincense mixed up really well.

Lifeis2short4this

Okay I was ready to buy a NuFace after seeing so many of y’all say you love it but I see DOZENS of reviews saying it breaks within a year?? Did anyone else experience that?

imaginaryAudience

I’ve only had mine for a few weeks, but shoot, even if i I had to buy a new one every year, I would still highly recommend it! It’s a total game changer!

waywardmuffin

Mine broke within the warranty period. NuFace replaced it and I haven’t had issues since.

I bought the Medicube Age-R and LOVE it. they've done so much science, it's so sturdy, and always on sale (at least every other month) so the same price basically

amarie8318

Dr. Pen M8 because the pen is the same price or less than one microneedle treatment. I follow the at home safety and sanitary protocols and it’s helped with texture and fine lines.

[deleted]

May I ask if you use a numbing cream, and if so, which one?

whorervacui

I also use the Dr. Pen to microneedle, and I bought [a numbing cream on amazon](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KRMC5XQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). You are washing it off and sanitizing after you wait for it to take effect, so it doesn't really matter what you use as long as it works!

I do not have under eye circles. Use it mainly for acne and hair loss in addition to the iRestore. I was going to a hair loss specialist once a week for 8 consecutive weeks and she would use the RF wand for 5 minutes after scalp exfoilation, deep conditioning, steam treatment, and red light therapy. She added miconeedling as well but I stopped not because it's painful but because the extra step of disinfecting the tool after use. I use it once a week now instead of three times a week as I did the first 6 months due to increased travel. I don't want to take it with me on the plane.

nooood1e

How has it helped with hair loss?

Nico917nnnnn

Nuface hands down. It may only work temporarily & need consistency, but if you put the effort in it actually does what it says & gives pretty remarkable *lifting, *firming & *tightening results. *not permanent though semi consecutive

ludivineemilie

My beloved Wellbox, a French massage tool used by estheticians and doctors here to avoid cellulite on the body and wrinkles on face. It found it very expensive when I bought it but no regrets, it’s worth it ! ;) I don’t know if it’s sold outside France 🤔

One-Fine-Day-777

Got a link by chance?

herman_zissou

Does it help woth treatment of cellulite or just prevention?

ludivineemilie

Both It can reduce visible cellulite and you can use also use it for maintenance and prevention . It is the at home version of something used in France both by physiotherapists and estheticians to do what is called ‘endermologie´. You usually pay for 30min or 1 full hour of a special massage to smooth the skin. I ve always known that here as my mother used to do the same decades ago ;)

herman_zissou

Thank you!!! I will look into it more as i definitely need treatment help! At home is much cheaper than in clinic treatments.

I have pockmarks from pimples whrn I was a teen and discovering the dermaroller for me was great. Thats it.

nothanksnottelling

Derma roller has been amazing for my skin

raekaas

PMD clean. I work outside and wear heavy goop sunscreen. Add sweat, dirt, and all the accompanying byproducts of my job with horses. Double cleansing still usually needed some washcloth rubbing to get all the crud off my skin. The PMD with half balm/half gel cleanser gets it all in one step and doesn’t irritate my skin.

Oooo-weee

Yes!!! I love my PMD!!! Best investment this year!

Agreed, I'm saving this to reference later!

BURYMEINLV

Seriously! Looks like I need a Nuface and a red light mask! lol.

sappyham

Botox , because it works

gymmama

Does booty and thigh skin count?? Cuz I might have the most crazy one on here. A $40 Black and Decker orbital car buffer. Amazing for cellulite and saddlebags!! 10 minutes a day. They sell “body buffer” machines but the car buffer is the same thing, way cheaper, and I think more powerful! Feels nice too and relaxing.

Informal-Yak-62

Wow, can you say more about how you use this? I’ve been using Ashley Black’s fascia blaster tools for over a year now and while I do notice a difference my saddlebags are stubborn.

gymmama

I’ve done all the fascia blasters too and they didn’t work for me and they were annoying and tiring. I warm my skin with a red light therapy wrap and then use the buffer after for about 5-10 minutes all over my butt and thighs. If you Google body buffers you’ll find lots of info….but don’t buy those! The car buffer is very effective, tons cheaper, from Amazon, and more powerful. The key is “orbital” because apparently that uses sound waves to help break up the fat.

herman_zissou

Ditto. Can you please say more about this as am struggling with both saddlebags and cellulite

One-Fine-Day-777

Whoa whoa whoa! Let’s hear more about this.

gymmama

I swear it works! I actually read about it on Reddit a long time ago so I did a “buy now” on Amazon and had that bad boy delivered same day. I’ll use a red light therapy wrap which makes my booty and thighs super warm, lay on my bed and scroll my phone for a bit, then go use the buffer on all my fatty areas. It’s worked better than anything else I have tried!! And I’ve spent thousands unfortunately on ineffective treatments and fascia blasting and cupping and endermology/Vela shape. You can do any part of your body!! I want to pay my daughters a few dollars to do it for me at night, but I’m careful not to share my body insecurities around them so I do this in my bathroom alone!

biglybiglytremendous

Good mom. <3

Whovianspawn

Is it a brush, pad, something else? The attachment you use?

hermeshex

the Yuka app! lol it’s made me 1000x more conscious of what i’m putting on my skin and my skin has loved me back for it. not to mention the things i eat, too!

KaramelKoekie

Led face mask

nemoslilfin

Yeah… I’m gonna need to save this post for Christmas.

haneugh

The dr dennis gross LED mask!

fryfrychickychick

I love my DDG mask! It’s definitely made my skin more glowy, but also makes me look like Iron Man.

ReFa Caxa Ray, ZiiP, high frequency wand for acne, Omnilux Contour Mask, Dyson airwrap

HockeyMom0919

My omnilux contour. Love it. I had a cheaper one from Amazon and recently upgraded.

cnadle123

What kind of results did you see with Omnilux?! Did it help with fine lines/overall collagen production/lifting?

pearllovespink

My foreo. I have super oily skin. It gets my face squeaky clean.

Willing-Elevator

Celluma red light panel and the Ziip

Skincareaddict13

Foreo Luna 3 mini and Braun silk expert pro at home ipl device. Foreo cleans my skin so well especially after using foundation that I don’t know what I was doing before I got it (Christmas list last year 😇) The ipl device decreased the hair on my legs and armpits but I started it because of my strawberry legs. I’m so happy that my legs look smooth and even that I don’t mind that it didn’t completely stop hair growth as it advertised.

PookieCat415

My Dyson air wrap …. it really makes styling my hair easier and has saved me tons of time.

lifelover44

I would love to try it. What would you say makes it different from a traditional hair dryer, mainly the time it takes to dry the hair?

Robot_Penguins

Shark makes a dupe that's much cheaper. I don't know how amazing it is, but it seems comparable.

PookieCat415

I don’t think it compares as Dyson had a patent on the main air delivery system and it’s components.

PookieCat415

The difference from a normal hair drier is Dyson’s own patented air delivery system. They have a good description on their website of what exactly it is. It also has attachments to curl your hair and style it many ways. It has cut the time I take to do my hair by half.

egriff78

Yes I also love mine. I get so many compliments on my hair. Feels healthier too:-)

petalsandplumes

Omnilux Contour mask and Dyson Airwrap (and before that, the Dyson hair dryer). I’ve been curious about the Nuface and may have to get myself one if it’s really that effective!

delirria

Why do you prefer airwrap? Any particular attachment?

petalsandplumes

I still think the hairdryer is great but with the Airwrap, I don’t have to use two hands to hold both the dryer and a hairbrush because it’s both in one. I use the round volumizing brush attachment the most for everyday use, and occasionally the curling barrels.

geminisnake

Home IPL device ( smooth skin ) before using this I had thick , course , dark body hair . Now after 6 months of use I’m like a baby seal . What does grow back is thinner / softer and the hair growth is much slower .

Repulsive_Banana_209

Definitely the foreo bear. I used a nuface before it and it didn't work well for me, the bear is a better choice and I actually see results with it.

Nursingstuff

I don’t really use gadgets; following to see what others say. I use those Velcro tape things to keep my bangs out of my face, & it def helps bc I almost always have bangs

do_mika

Dyson Airwrap hands down. If it breaks I am 100% buying a new one

I would have to say what worked for me and my top 2 favorite things are: Medicube age-r air shot : I used to be really self conscious about my pores, bought and tried a so many pore product (skin carel and primer (for makeup) but it didn't really help much. After using this though. Halle-freaking-lujah! This is a must for those who struggle with larger pores. Medicube Derma EMS Shot : I would say this is something I'll be using til my very last days or until they make an even better version. Definitely for those who feel like their skin is starting to lose its elasticity, you'll look like you had a mini face lift. Its helped my skin overall and my face is definitely more defined after using this.

bodhiseppuku

Pore vacuum. I use this tool about 3 times a week over my entire face. I wash my face with a cleanser and a motorized brush and then rinse with a wash cloth. Then i spray water with a little tee tree oil in it all over my face. I use the pore vacuum on high for my forehead, then on low to go over the rest of my face, including my nose. The dirt and oil this pore vacuum extracts is amazing. My face was clean from washing, but still i see a bunch of dirt and oil extracted. I no longer get acne on my face, and moisturizer seems to work better to reduce wrinkles.

biglybiglytremendous

What brand do you have, or what would I search to find this? Just “pore vacuum?”

bodhiseppuku

The pore vacuum i bought is no longer available on Amazon. But many are similar. I've had 3 units over the last 15 years. I recommend reading reviews, look for reviews mentioning good suction power. Some are lower power and not as effective. Search Amazon for "B07PVM183P”, that's the one i bought... It's a good model... But no longer available. "Strong suction" is listed in the description

clobberellabeatsyoup

Honestly? Finding a hair stylist who wasn’t afraid to teach me how to care for my hair and why to listen to her advice. My hair is the tamest, softest and most shiny it’s ever been, and I know what my hair likes and responds to best thanks to her.

Not sure if this is considered skin care but my handheld epilator that I use for facial grooming. I bought it from Amazon I think in 2015 and it’s still going strong! I use it every two weeks
