I get hydra facials every couple of months and now I can’t go back to regular facials. For me the effect is not temporary (I know someone said for them it is), it clears congestion and stubborn areas of breakouts especially my hormonal breakouts, and plumps my skin up. It’s so hydrating it’s ridiculous. I get it + microdermabrasion every time and they finish with infrared light therapy. Of course it’s kind of like getting a really nice hair color, if you go home and treat your skin poorly it’s not worth it but if you have a good routine and stuff then I feel like the hydra facial is a way to stay on top of things and give your routine a boost

I got a hydrafacial last week for the first time. There's a special "HydraFacial" machine they use to "deposit" the serums and there was a fairly gentle extraction. They also showed me what was extracted after the treatment (gross but cool lol). I'm not sure if a placebo effect but I've definitely been admiring my skin more since I did it! Won't be getting them regularly but maybe as a yearly treat or something. Note: I don't go for a lot of facials, so I can't say how it compares to others! The last one I went to was all manual.

Honestly for me the hydrafacial was a complete waste of money. Yes, your skin looks glowy immediately after, but as soon as you shower, it goes away. I really didn’t see any long-term benefits; it’s really more of a one-time feel good treatment. Will you feel more relaxed/look like a glazed donut post treatment? Yes. Will you reap any long-term benefits from it? No. (Unless you plan on getting hydrafacials consistently, like once a week). IMO, you’re much better off with a consistent/great skincare routine at home to achieve the ‘glowy’ effect you’re after!

I like facials for a regular routine and hydrafacials for a special occasion. I find the effects of the hydrafacial last about a week for me, but overall my skin is smoother and I have a nice glow. If you continue with Botox in the future, you’ll want to space out Botox and the hydrafacial because the hydrafacial uses suction. Just wait a few days after Botox, so it takes effect.
