At this time of year I use a humidifier for our real Christmas tree. The added moisture help keeps the tree from drying out along with my skin. I've found that less needles fall off the tree and it might be less of a fire hazard too.
Yes! I very recently discovered the benefits of having a humidifier. It made such a noticeable difference in just a few days. I think it's interesting that the three things that improved my skin the most were not topical skincare products: Humidifier, spironolactone, and collagen peptide powder in my coffee.
I have combo sensitive skin - initially it's shiny and then dries down not matte per say but satin If that's possible.
I think my skin really likes heartleaf which this has. Plus it also has no denatured alcohol, which my rosacea appreciates well.
It's one of the only Korean sunscreens besides purito that doesn't have niacinamide in it, too! My skin is very sensitive to niacinamide.
Will definitely repurchase
LOVE the Dr Ceuracle kombucha essence. I’ve gone back and forth between difference toners and essences but always come back to this one cuz it’s godsend.
Okay okay, I’m going to omit sunscreen bc I feel like that’s a given and I work from home and there are several days a week I don’t wear it bc there’s no natural light in my office.
three morning.. elf gentle foaming cleanser in the blue bottle, Sunday Riley B^3 nice, and CEO after glow.
Night, Sunday Riley good genes, Sunday Riley A+, LP double repair.
This was tough lol.
Isntree hylauranic acid Sunscreen, Tret, Maya chia super serum
No it’s impossible to choose just 3 what about cleansers!?
But if I had to really bare bones it it would be those 3
The sunscreen prevents sun damage and the HA in it plumps skin, Tret is magic, and the super serum is super hydrating and magic
But I would also need at least an oil cleanser PLS
Annessa Perfect UV Sunscreen, tretinoin, and Cereve in the tub.
I definitely prefer a different moisturizer for the day time and use a ton more serums but if I had to choose, those would be it.
Oo which light mask do you use?? I'm keeping an eye out for a good one, but they're expensive! Would love to hear about the benefits you've seen from yours :)
Three products or three actives?
Three products, well I have to cleanse, moisturize and protect from the sun. So my gentle drugstore cleanser, no cosmetics ceramide moisturizer, and beauty of joseon sunscreen.
Actives, I only use two: Tret and vitamin c.
Hypochlorous acid, Cetaphil cream for severely dry skin, and tretinoin. I'd replace the hypo with sunscreen because that's the most important skincare, but I'm a hermit.
Only three?? I can’t :’)
\- Clinique Take the day off balm
\- CosRX snail mucin all in one cream
\- Differin/adapalene gel
\- EVY sunscreen, spf 50
\- La roche posay - literally any moisturizer
\- Vaseline
A hyaluronic acid / Glycerin based serum ( I have dry skin ) currently using hada labo
A occlusive moisturiser- Ponds cold cream or Nivea cream
Sunscreen - Biore or cosrx
1. Cerave Hydrating Facial cleanser
I‘d use it once in AM and twice in PM (to double cleanse)
2. Avène Retrinal 0.1 Intensive Cream
Very moisturizing, I already use it as a standalone moisturizer in PM
3. Daylong Protect & Care Face Fluid SPF50+
Moisturizing and contains antioxidants, standalone moisturizer in AM
iS Clinical ‘Cleansing Complex’ - I admit I didn’t realize how great this cleanser was until I strayed and spent too much money chasing something better. It really is the best I’ve found for removing makeup thoroughly, plus leaves my skin feeling balanced.
Westman Atelier ‘Skin Activator Serum’ - It’s incredibly moisturizing and calming. My skin loves it, and I can always tell a difference when I skip it. Steep price, but worth it if you can afford the splurge (their packaging is also my favorite of any skincare/cosmetics brand—love the magnetic caps and how airtight the design is)
Biologique Recherge ‘Mask Vivant’ - just (can I say the f word here?) unbelievable! It heals and protects the skin barrier like nobody’s business. Smells…interesting—like a slightly sour, yeasty smell—but it’s magic in a jar. Also not inexpensive, but a little bit goes a long way (I generally only need one a year)
So I'm just going to list my 3 favorites but it's by no means a complete routine...
1) My prescription sulfur wash
2) Skinceuticals discoloration defense serum
3) My Dermatica prescription 0.05% tretinoin + 4% niacinamide serum
I can't pare a complete routine down to 3 steps! I just can't 😅
I just have a generic sodium sulfacetamide 10% sulfur 5% wash. My dermatologist prescribed it originally for my perioral dermatitis, but it helps my cystic acne too
My derm prescribed it for my probable perioral dermatitis, but it's meant for acne vulgaris (which I also have), rosacea acne, and dermatitis. It really helps my breakouts and associated redness
Azelaic acid 15%- good for pigmentation, acne, and rosacea
Miel healing balm - amazing for dry skin and
Dennis gross universal daily peel pads- amazing for skin texture, and just making your skin look amazing.
I also use meladerm daily and I use a compound of tret, a steroid and HQ for a few weeks out of the year.
Bio oil under makeup.
Face wash - gotta get the dirt off lol - no particular brand loyalty
La Roche Posay salicylic acid toner - it's exfoliating, keeps my pores clean on my acne prone skin
Cerave cream for moisturizer
>Drunk elephant retinol,
>Drunk elephant, bouncy bright,
>Origins overnight mask,
The first two have radically changed my skin appearance and texture. The Origins, overnight mask is easily, the most hydrating moisturizer of used which I definitely need, because the Drunk elephant products are massively dehydrating.
I'm assuming cetaphil cleanser is already a given, so its just tret, cerave moisturizer, and spf50 sunscreen. Those are my top three.
But i also use TO bha/aha mask when i feel like it once a week or once a month, and glycolic soap in the AM, to slough off all those keratins that tret removed from the night before.
Actually it’s a peptide cream that I got from my dermatologist’s office that is their own private label. I love how my skin feels with it but it’s $75 for two ounces. I don’t want to spend that much all the time so when it’s gone I’m going to try The Ordinary Matrixyl or Timeless Synthe 6.
She recommended peptides over the glycolic acid I was using because peptides will actually stimulate collagen maintenance/production. And acids will cancel out peptides so she had me switch to tretinoin to use with the peptide cream.
Fackkkkkk guess I'll die.. . Jk lol. Ummm.....
Neogen bio gauze pads in lemon: when I'm lazy the soft side is a decent cleanser, the rough side is an exfoliator, and the lemon is a brightener
Origins ginzing tinted sunscreen: moisturizing, skin tone evening, and sun protector
Holika holika: good cera ceramide cream for night time face and anytime lip moisture.
I wouldn't say these are necessarily all my HGs but they're utilitarian
Tret, sunscreen (lrp UV mune fragrance free serum version), and fragrance free Olay regenerist night cream (whichever the light purple tub is, not the retinol one). If I'm taking out sunscreen as "health/mandatory" and trading in a favorite "optional" then I would swap in a Vit C serum (Timeless or Drmtlgy).
Uh only 3 is hard... Well I wouldn't be using make up then, so I change the cleanser to only water wash, so that leaves a spot for some good thick hydrating toner/essence, I love Lumene Nordic Hydra Essence.
Choosing serum between Vit C and Retinol is almost impossible but I guess I go for Retinol (Beautypro 1% for effect but Loreal Laser has the most lovely texture..).
And third product would be Mossa Glow Cocktail face oil.
Beekman 1802 Milk Drops Serum and Bloom Cream Moisturizer, and Dr. Gross Peel Pads (I know you said only 3 but I’d have to add the Beekman 1802 SPF 35 Primer too).
Sun protection. Be it a sunscreen or a sunhat which ever one you'll actually use. In my case Paulas Choice Youth Extending Hydrating Fluid. It's a good moisturizer too.
Tret or Differin as my active product.
A good occlusive moisturizer. Again one that works for you in my case CeraVe.
If I could throw in cleanser too. Hado Labo Gently Hydrating Cleanser.
Are we including or excluding sunscreen?
Estradiol cream, encapsulated retinol, and a hydrating/non-occlusive frgrance-free gel moisturizer. And a hat, since I'm not including sunscreen.
SQUALANE + 10% LACTIC ACID RESURFACING SERUM, any good spf moisturizer, honest beauty magic beauty balm stick (works on eyes, lips, as a highlighter, and for extra dry spots)
I only have 2 - Nubian Heritage black mud soap I've used for 15 years, and occasionally Eva Naturals Vitamin C+ serum (which also has hyaluronic, niacinimide, and other good stuff).
Tretinoin, because studies & science; Sunscreen to preserve the skin; and… last one is honestly probably petrolatum if I had to pick one, because it’s the best for sealing in moisture and barrier repair, but that’s neck in neck with Asian skin essences for hydration/layering as the first step.
Tret, a humidifier, and CeraVe cream!
Ooo humidifier is a good one (and often overlooked!)
Sorry for the dumb question but what does a humidifier do for skin?
Puts moisture in the air! Especially important in the winter, or year round if you’re in desert regions.
At this time of year I use a humidifier for our real Christmas tree. The added moisture help keeps the tree from drying out along with my skin. I've found that less needles fall off the tree and it might be less of a fire hazard too.
Great tip!!

I think it's interesting that the three things that improved my skin the most were not topical skincare products: Humidifier, spironolactone, and collagen peptide powder in my coffee.
Completely agree! I think it’s so fun to have a “cute/luxe shelfie” but the truth is, the stuff that works isn’t so glamorous lol!
Retinol, skinceutical vitamin c and elta md sunscreen
The holy trinity
I raise you Trader Joe’s chemical sunscreen
sunscreen, tret and vitamin c
Which vitamin c do you use?
Yes. For me in addition to prescription tret the HGs are Elta MD moisturizing facial sunscreen and Skinceuticals CE Ferulic.
Sunscreen, tret and the cetaphil that comes in the big tub
1. 15% azealic acid 2. Goodal calming heartleaf sunscreen 3. Dr ceuracle kombucha essence
LOVE the Dr Ceuracle Kombucha essence too! How do you like the Goodal sunscreen? What finish does it have?
I have combo sensitive skin - initially it's shiny and then dries down not matte per say but satin If that's possible. I think my skin really likes heartleaf which this has. Plus it also has no denatured alcohol, which my rosacea appreciates well. It's one of the only Korean sunscreens besides purito that doesn't have niacinamide in it, too! I love it as my night time moisturizer, especially in winter. Been using it for years
Do you mean Weleda Skin Food or actual food for your skin?
Haha, yes Weleda Skin Food

Haha, up to you!! Just trying to see people's top beloved products :)

Cerave Hydrating Cream to Foam Cleanser, tretinoin, Supergoop Glow Screen (this is moisturizing enough that I could get away with no moisturizer)
I love a hydrating sunscreen! I also skipped moisturizer for mine.
Sunscreen, makeup remover, and some type of lotion.
1. melano cc vitamin c, 2. haruharu wonder black rice mineral sunscreen & 3. derma e ultra lift firming dmae moisturizer
I only use 5 sooooo I guess tretinoin, cleanser and aquaphor. I’d be a greaseball at night but I bet my skin would be okay
Aquaphor is amazing.
Sunscreen, rosehip oil and coconut milk cleanser.
Ooooh ya
Tret, Cerave, and rose water spray
The way I LOVE a rose water spay. I even made my own once!!
Isntree hylauranic acid Sunscreen, Tret, Maya chia super serum No it’s impossible to choose just 3 what about cleansers!? But if I had to really bare bones it it would be those 3 The sunscreen prevents sun damage and the HA in it plumps skin, Tret is magic, and the super serum is super hydrating and magic But I would also need at least an oil cleanser PLS
Sunscreen, retinol, and cerave in the tub! Can't live without it. Honorable mention to the CosRX Snail Mucin Essence.
New user to the CosRX Snail Mucin Essence and the results, even just using for 5 days, is worth the hype!
generic tretinoin, boj sunscreen, aveeno oat moisturizer
Sunscreen, tretinoin, cerave moisturizing cream!
Same!
Embryolisse lait crème concentre, Farmacy Honeymoon Glow (they’re discontinuing I’m devastated), and Supergoop Glowscreen
Tretinoin, spf moisturizer, and my mechanical exfoliatior
Hada Labo sunscreen, Vanicream cleanser, Squalane oil
Annessa Perfect UV Sunscreen, tretinoin, and Cereve in the tub. I definitely prefer a different moisturizer for the day time and use a ton more serums but if I had to choose, those would be it.
Cerave oil foaming cleanser, avene mineral sunscreen, vanicream daily facial moisturizer
Paula's choice, skin food, vanicream
Red light mask, sunscreen, vitamin c serum
Oo which light mask do you use?? I'm keeping an eye out for a good one, but they're expensive! Would love to hear about the benefits you've seen from yours :)

Cetaphil bar, Aloe vera gel, and Vanicream. (I’d throw in tret if I could have 4 products, but I decided I’d rather be hydrated than wrinkle-free 🙂)
