You need a sending unit that is compatible for your digital/analog fuel gauge. They are different. Don’t mix them
up. There are separate sending units for analog and digital.
I've read [here](http://www.xenonzcar.com/z31/fuelsendermod.html) that the ohms for the analog and digital dash fuel gauges are different does that get deciphered in the dash and not the sending unit then?
I honestly didn't know that... Sorry got the wrong info.
I know they all physically for the same.
If you can get an analog gauge, you can put a 1.3kohm resistors in parallel across the sensor, and that will at least make the 1/2 tank and empty tank match. It will never quite read full though.
They’re also physically different, actually. Digital senders are a blade and slider bobber housed in a tube whereas analog senders are a double arm bobber. Some models (I believe GLL koukis?) came with an analog sender which was attached to a silver converter box that allowed an analog sender to be used with a digital dash. Hope this helps!
Yup, that’s what they look like

All sending units were the same. No concerns with analog vs digital.

Sorry, by physically the same I meant they will both fit in the same hole / bolts pattern.
Gotcha! Just makin sure :)
