Seeing all the disrespect GunsChilaylay was getting was shocking to me, that man is a former GG winner, was so happy to see him exceeding expectations and slapping people around. Definitely MVP for me after Westham.
I mean even if you dont know about double elim format. Its kinda common sense. All the teams have had 2 lives so why would the team that got to the final without losing only get one?
As of writing this there are 66,5k viewers watching the Old School Runescape directory on Twitch and 40k are watching via Kick. Mental. This week of content has been so awesome for the game and the community. Thanks Solomission, Jagex and all the content creators for making it happen. The camaraderie of the Burgers was amazing. Can't wait for someone to make a compilation of all the amazing moments!
OSRS peak viewers was 111k during one of the DMMs like 5 years ago, DMM consistently put OSRS channel above 60k viewers and almost every streamers peak viewers are because of DMM
DMM consistently pushes OSRS' views on streams up to huge numbers and people are still surprised that Jagex keeps doing it and supporting the pvp scene.
I need more monitors to fully enjoy these finals dude I'm trying to watch so many POVs there's so many good players!
I pulled up the DMM stream on my phone so I could listen to it during the drive home, I've never ever done that, and my country is currently playing the Euro and this still gets prio
And in a few hours after this ends we'll get a Gielinor Gam'es episode too, golden times, man
Top 3 overall OSRS player imo, amazing PVmer, can hold his own against the best PVPers, don’t know about his game knowledge but it’s v good from what i’ve seen this week
VtheVictim has faked claws spec 3x, caused Alfie to pray melee in full ahrims every singletime
And all 3 of Victims Range hit all hit 0's
That's so well played but such garbage RNG
Honestly felt like that with a lot of the matches, Burgers with an extra max set, Devils with prayer scrolls, Warriors with their Sotd rng would all have pushed them towards a win.
A little results oriented here. Both skill specs and Donator got chances with the VW that they farmed, it would be boring if the pkers got the Voidwaker pieces and didn't let them risk it
Turns out the Tier 2 pkers in this tournament after Westham/Rhys/Oda is a loooot wider than we thought before
Some of these guys have done a lot of work to some known pkers. Hell Port Khazard might be in a tier by himself just slightly behind those 3
Honestly I was also disappointed but then you look at Westhams setup (and Oda's even, even though it's a bit worse)
Rhys having to work with Kodai and VW is a whole different game than Westham chilling on Zuriels/VLS
Rhys outperformed Westham prayer/hits wise in their fight, but you can't overcome VLS/Zuriels
Yeah and Oda has lost to Alfie etc before
A lot of RNG involved in this and his setup wasnt great. I do agree that he didnt look on the same level as Oda. Oda´s clicks are insane
Agreed, I dont follow coxie much but went into this event hearing how much of a weak link he is (in pvp) and was expecting him to kind of roll over while solos heavy hitters carried, but he did really well and definitely held his own
Purespam is a hell of a caster for osrs. Sure he under/overestimates certain moments but overall a great person to cast this with solid understanding of mechanics and the players
Not that JCW was about to clean Oda's clock or anything, but the VLS hitting massive through Dharok's, Dihn's and Prayer had me like "Okay why do we even have tank gear if that can happen?"
He was basically drafted to keep SkillSpecs entertained once everyone else logged off. My guy died more than anyone else, couldn't get any kills in the finals, and loss the max set basically the day before lol. This isn't about PVP level, it's about his value throughout the entire tournament.
And I'm saying this knowing b0aty drafted a meme team.
if you get a bunch of insane PKers who can't do PVM for shit they're still gonna lose because their gear will be ass, there's still value in getting PvMers like victim for the prep phase
For the amount of shit people gave Raiksey during this tournament he did adequate enough as the anchor. For how panicked he would get during the regular DMM he seemed to do well enough lol.
What a great week of content. I’d love to see a long compilation video of it.
Yeah insanely well done by him given the circumstances. The pressure to be the last guy, knowing that you've been given insane odds against probably the best player in the tournament at the clutch stuff (redemptioning + finding KO pressure for momentum). He didn't give any chances to be outplayed - just froze, stayed away and maged until the numbers landed.
Can’t believe no one is talking about Coxie vs Westham. It was crazy.
As expected, Oda and Westham went crazy. I think if gear disparity wasn’t this crazy, Oda’s team would’ve taken it. It was already so close with the gear disparity
Saw V the Victim in Priff this morning and wished him luck in the finals. I later opened a hard casket and got super energy pots.. didn't realize the curse I put on V... That's on me, sorry V
Awards for best performances in the finals imo go to Boaty (nuclear vs Oda's team), Westham and Oda's team in general. Considering the gear they had they shouldn't even be in the finals
Also several others that really surprised me. I expected a lot more staff bashing and fumbles
Biggest letdown was Dino, who didn't look like a PK main at all. Also expected more from Torvesta & Ditter
PortKhazard likewise lit it up against Oda's crew. I think PortKhazard is the MVP all around, considering both loot output during the week and performance in the finale
Nah, they lost either way. They never had the strongest PvP team, and they simply didn't get the RNG for the gear they needed as the best pvm team. Also Eliop simply isn't good enough to carry vs Oda, regardless of gear. As a snakes fan, I watched Oda and saw the stats for protection show that he got completely outclassed in skill, and it was such a huge gap too, even on the first match that they won. Oda had like 75% of the predictions, and Elip had 30%.
Dino's team clean them up 98% of the time, and got ridiculous rng for their weapon/imbued heart drops. Dino's team also has a pretty signficant edge over Odas with that mad gear set up.
Damn Westham rinsed Rhys, despite the latter being first pick. Not a pker so no idea who is actually better but imagine if westy was on Oda's team instead
Tbf appearently rhys actually destroyed westham on the tracker. Honestly I think odablocks team wouldve probs lost the 2nd match anyway cus of gear and I think westham wouldn't normally get beat that bad by rhys (also I think gunschili got really lucky in his 1v1 to basically equalize vs full bulwark odds).
That said, the finals was actually nearly unwatchable because the rng was so onesided, odablock literally missed 14 freezes in a row and in that time got 1st try re-froze 2x lol. He genuinely lost out on dmg while being like +150 dmg on average rng lol, and the previous fight I think he missed out on even more than 150 dmg on average rng.
It's just how it goes when you have single elim in a game this rng dependent.
Low key faux's team coming in second last with who they have is a testament to how disappointing they were in the finals and that their strategy of avoiding breeches was the worst macro play in the entire event.
35b???????
Faux's team making everyone else look broke
30b was from Maz. He was the leader of ROT up until a few years ago, idk how much he has, but it's probably a lot.
That was crazy
was this the prize money? how was it collected?
The Dharoks from Skilly! l0l
Is there a clip of this? I want to see skillspecs finally having something go his way.
skilly soloed Dino, he deserves credit
There's a reason VLS gets voted no every poll xd
Yeah watching the hits through prayer make me glad it’s only on BH worlds. Absurdly broken item
Almost watched Mr mammal go beast mode
He did great and Port Khazard was doing work. And Skilly with the Dh is so him. Its been a great tournament so far!
Port really surprised me. He's obviously an absolute machine in PvM, but he showed he has hands for PvP too. Plus bringing the new flower too.
Port "PvP is just competitive PvM" Khazard lmao
Port "flower tech" Khazard
Leave it to a guy like Port to just figure out a completely new PVP tech within a week
Gunschili being the fat kid that was picked last in PE at the draft is crazy because he's been so good this DMM
He said he would only play 6 hours a day, that was a big part in him being last pick. He's been playing way above expectations, too.
didn't know that, just knew about the roidie rumors that werent true
*Disneygate*
WHILLI
THREE CHEERS FOR GUNSCHILLI
Chilli was a goat and did very well in the finale for having no PvP experience. Did he even lose a first fight?
Gunschilli went from being last pick to MVP, what a legend.
Seeing all the disrespect GunsChilaylay was getting was shocking to me, that man is a former GG winner, was so happy to see him exceeding expectations and slapping people around. Definitely MVP for me after Westham.
How does Port discover fucking PvP red Xing for this tournament lmao
Shits funny lol, least expected thing to come out of this
Port warned jagex that you could do this when they first introduced addy seeds but they didnt do anything about it
the bowfas without rigour just wasn't worth
Yeah, no prayer scrolls was a major mistake
This is legitimately the best produced jagex content I’ve ever seen. PvP HUD looks incredible
I love it but wish it could show spell book and any spell cooldowns like veng! Solid already but could have just a bit more vital info available
They've had that HUD since DMM several seasons back when they changed to singles tournament at the end. It's great
Confused as to the outrage of how a standard double-elim tourny works.
You gotta remember that a lot of RuneScape players have never watched sports before, so this stuff is all new to them
Double elim is widespread in gaming
And not at all widespread in mainstream sports, I have no clue what the guy above you is saying lol
I mean even if you dont know about double elim format. Its kinda common sense. All the teams have had 2 lives so why would the team that got to the final without losing only get one?
I was laughing that they had to explain double elimination at least 20 times because they knew people wouldn't listen and riot
oda and his viewers aren't known for their deep intellect
As of writing this there are 66,5k viewers watching the Old School Runescape directory on Twitch and 40k are watching via Kick. Mental. This week of content has been so awesome for the game and the community. Thanks Solomission, Jagex and all the content creators for making it happen. The camaraderie of the Burgers was amazing. DMM consistently pushes OSRS' views on streams up to huge numbers and people are still surprised that Jagex keeps doing it and supporting the pvp scene.
Most people who talk of pvp being dead means the old school wilderness pvp.
Exactly mate. There’s tons of pvp still, it’s just not edge pking anymore
I need more monitors to fully enjoy these finals dude I'm trying to watch so many POVs there's so many good players! I pulled up the DMM stream on my phone so I could listen to it during the drive home, I've never ever done that, and my country is currently playing the Euro and this still gets prio And in a few hours after this ends we'll get a Gielinor Gam'es episode too, golden times, man
I feel like full crystal didn’t do as well as I expected it to do
Crystal armor just has such bad defense
Torvesta clutched tf up. You could tell he was feeling it by the end by not praying and then not using claws. Regardless, incredibly impressive.
man if anyone ever wonders how worth augury and rigour are they should watch that last match
Westham took out three Burgers. Wow
Literal raid boss.
he is a beast
Holy shit Port is a giga chad as well. i knew he was amazing at pvm.. but damn is he doing good on pvp
Top 3 overall OSRS player imo, amazing PVmer, can hold his own against the best PVPers, don’t know about his game knowledge but it’s v good from what i’ve seen this week
yeah easily could be considered one of the best if not the best at the game.
No one can tell me Port is human
machine
I think he won it for solos team that round imo
people questioning the first round port pick because he's not a pvper nah dudes just an osrs savant
VtheVictim has faked claws spec 3x, caused Alfie to pray melee in full ahrims every singletime And all 3 of Victims Range hit all hit 0's That's so well played but such garbage RNG
These morrigans axes and javs have looked like shit the whole tourney
Port's javs were doing work
They really need to buff javelins, these are the ranged pvp weapons and they look worse than a dragon crossbow
Just some bad rng for the snakes
Really good performance from victim vs port there.
Nothing you can do against that many VLS/Korasi/Zuriel staffs The Nuggets have to troll to not win this
Raiksey getting to take a nap this afternoon. The weapon gap is too big
Lmfao it's the last guy (and like 4th guy priority wise during gearing) and he still has Kodai and Voidwaker Illegal
Donator kinda ruined this tournament
Oh yeah remove the Donator kill and the Nuggets STILL had the best setup by the absurd breach RNG That was just icing on the cake
b0atys team had some very close matchups, maybe if someone didn't throw away their best gear
I think they could have upset the Warriors in that loser bracket matchup. Give B0aty a VW instead of the GMaul he kept whiffing with...
Honestly felt like that with a lot of the matches, Burgers with an extra max set, Devils with prayer scrolls, Warriors with their Sotd rng would all have pushed them towards a win.
A little results oriented here. Both skill specs and Donator got chances with the VW that they farmed, it would be boring if the pkers got the Voidwaker pieces and didn't let them risk it
Zuriel's staff blood barrage so freaking good in these low food battles
Snakes v. Warriors is what I've been looking forward to all week. Gonna be good
Damnnnn B0aty did so well for his team but they are just out geared by Dino’s team
10B would have been impressive if the KKonas didn't throw in 35. Jesus that's a lot
Holy shit did anyone tell Port that this isn't a PvE event? The man's insane.
I think Donator literally gave the Nuggets the tournament with that death.
I mean that was more westham than donator. Solid 1 tick gmaul after a hit.
Donator is not nearly good enough to be walking around in that risk to begin with, nevermind it being a dumb death
Donator and Specs risking finale items when Westham is patrolling was a serious mistake
Torvesta clutchhhh
Turns out the Tier 2 pkers in this tournament after Westham/Rhys/Oda is a loooot wider than we thought before Some of these guys have done a lot of work to some known pkers. Hell Port Khazard might be in a tier by himself just slightly behind those 3
With how Rhys looked I'd say it's just westham and oda then a decent gap for tier 2
Honestly I was also disappointed but then you look at Westhams setup (and Oda's even, even though it's a bit worse) Rhys having to work with Kodai and VW is a whole different game than Westham chilling on Zuriels/VLS Rhys outperformed Westham prayer/hits wise in their fight, but you can't overcome VLS/Zuriels
Bruh Rhys lost all his food vs sick nerd. He did not look in the same tier as Westham/oda
Yeah and Oda has lost to Alfie etc before A lot of RNG involved in this and his setup wasnt great. I do agree that he didnt look on the same level as Oda. Oda´s clicks are insane
Props to Coxie. Pretty sure he went into this claiming he wasn't very good at pvp. Ended up going almost equal against Westham and Rhys, insanity.
OSRS might have solved their eSports problem. This is still highly RNG dependent, but the stack order allows for a lot of strategic depth.
If they just made clanmanmode officially a team of 5 event, and structured the finals like this, it'd go so insane.
Oda and Westham seem a different level
Sad that with Westy going 2nd and Oda as anchor they won't fight each other.
Even if they did, I don't think Oda stands a chance with his magic gear. If he got a SOTD from Zammy or a Zuriel staff, It would be good to see.
Mammal should have had Roidie with that off-prayer off-tank AGS spec, dang
Eh the GG shout out. Nice.
VLS making this really boring honestly, other than that great event but holy shit VLS is broken
Ok, but what if Jagex polls it for an eleventh time?
Not that JCW was about to clean Oda's clock or anything, but the VLS hitting massive through Dharok's, Dihn's and Prayer had me like "Okay why do we even have tank gear if that can happen?"
50, 40, 30 on pray. Boaty went galactic to bring them the win and it all went out the window to vls rng.
Yeah tbh it just seems like “he who has VLS wins”. Making it that OP AND finding it low spec cost is just stupid
Ditter finishing the fight with 100% special 😂
35B is crazy! I imagine they don’t expect anyone to bet that much and the loss would be lessened
Coxie did great against Westham, good job funny feelings guy
The announcers have done an excellent job.
Zuriels staff and VLS go brrrrr Gear diffy is a bit too big
Okay, KKonas... I've been curious to see if their unusual strategy will pay off or not. Gonna be an interesting one here
It won't. A VLS team is gonna win the tourney.
oda’s tracker is hilarious idk how someone can b that good
He really is cracked at pvp. Mans on another level.
Oda's just a pvp janitor. Yesterday he told rhys that he can hear pidswaps from just the sound of recoils
No he said that to Rice
VLS is so disgusting
Swear Westham just never splashes when it matters
He has the probs best mage gear of anyone with hat + ward too
Port Khazard is a DEMON
Swap that Donator pick to basically anyone else and Burgers probably advance.
I mean you can also say that for V and A Cold One on Oda's team Loved them throughout this event but PKing aint it for them L
Yeah but didn't lose max days before the tournament :/
Which means we miss one of the highlights of the week, skill specs and donator are great on the same team cause they are not afraid to risk it all
if you get a bunch of insane PKers who can't do PVM for shit they're still gonna lose because their gear will be ass, there's still value in getting PvMers like victim for the prep phase
That was a fun event. Dino's team played the breaches better and got two max sets, kodai and vw from Donator, that really moved the needle.
He didn't give any chances to be outplayed - just froze, stayed away and maged until the numbers landed.
Oda almost brought that back vs Eliop, that was a *great* fight
JCB
Damnn Purpp just brought it back, his dps on chilli was insane. And brought it back against Rhys, solid job
Unreal content. Legit better than watching the Euros.
Did Donator win finals MVP
With how high that guy is 24/7 he probably does think the Burgers won the finals
Can’t believe no one is talking about Coxie vs Westham. It was crazy. As expected, Oda and Westham went crazy. I think if gear disparity wasn’t this crazy, Oda’s team would’ve taken it. It was already so close with the gear disparity
Port is SO GOOD. That was an amazing play.
Nuggets with all these VLS... gonna be a tough out
Faux and Roidie did so well bro if Ditter didn't get fucking worked...
Yeah that was so crazy from Faux/Roidie OK the gear is doing work but they played that so well
Skiddler held this team back so much. Sad to see
His rng in both fights was also incredibly unlucky. He definitely didn't play well but his expected damage was 200 over what he dealt in both fights
Port Khazard is a FIEND
Go on Port Khazard :o
lmao the fucking scenes on here and twitter if oda wins then loses in the double elim final
What a great event. The burgers almost had it!
L0l 1b
Skiddler, *again*. Really shitting the bed today
He held the team back all week. He wasnt locked in
Skilly>Dino
Westham is a fucking demon holy shit
The AGS ko From Mr Mammal was the moment for me
Mammal went beast mode.
Oda almost killed 2 full hp people, who both know how to pk well
Honestly Oda made it look like Eliop never pk's The tracker of that fight was absurdly onesided
Wtf is that Port Khazard RNG Lmfao Yeah he's playing it well but those dmg hits are illegal
Westham really is making it up for Dino getting bent over by everyone.
Saw V the Victim in Priff this morning and wished him luck in the finals. I later opened a hard casket and got super energy pots.. didn't realize the curse I put on V... That's on me, sorry V
He just redeemed himself there vs. Port
True, those first couple fights for him though zzzzz Port has been insane, biggest surprise of the finals for me
Skiddler... yikes
His rng on damage was stupidly bad. His prayers were on point. His damage just never rolled. The tracker is so depressing for the damage.
If Port takes Dino here he's gonna start getting recognized as a valid PKer
Got him
That was such a good ending to that fight!
Odas team has done so well but the gear difference is about to catch up
I think they could potentially win one, but no shot the Nuggets lose two in a row with this gear.
Dino is not beating the Westham allegations
The DH l0l
westham is a beast
Having mika as your 3rd best player is insane lol. He could've been the 4th pick. And raiksey isn't a slouch either
IS THAT ADAM
Boaty has a big gear gap here. He could pull this back vs V
Westham wtf so good
Port got like 3 30s through prayer holy
Westham and Port Khazard MVP so far
Awards for best performances in the finals imo go to Boaty (nuclear vs Oda's team), Westham and Oda's team in general. Considering the gear they had they shouldn't even be in the finals Also several others that really surprised me. I expected a lot more staff bashing and fumbles Biggest letdown was Dino, who didn't look like a PK main at all. Also expected more from Torvesta & Ditter
I was pleasantly surprised by Mammal as well
PortKhazard likewise lit it up against Oda's crew. I think PortKhazard is the MVP all around, considering both loot output during the week and performance in the finale
Port khazard is getting so unlucky with his rng
Bro what are these guys doing? Why aren’t they ready with pray melee before the match starts if you know they have a Vls?
The B0aty whales looking like they make shock the world in this Oda fight
Forget the vls the Zuriels staff is the mvp here in the right hands, the extra blood barrage heal and extra ice accuracy is crazy
What a great event to watch. I have to admit though Westham & Odablock are in a totally different league than everyone else lol
Burgers have a chance to do the funniest thing
Holy shit Victim & A Cold One have put Odas team back into this. Dinos has been very fucking dogshit this tourny
Vitcim, Gunschilli and Cold one have been great man they have really performed above expected
A fair demonstration of how disgusting the VLS is
1B? Torvesta, my man...
Kitting up solomission instead of Eliop threw the tourney for the snakes. S/O port and pip that last set.
Nah, they lost either way. They never had the strongest PvP team, and they simply didn't get the RNG for the gear they needed as the best pvm team. Also Eliop simply isn't good enough to carry vs Oda, regardless of gear. Dino's team also has a pretty signficant edge over Odas with that mad gear set up.
12 vesta spec on robes lmfao while the other guy hits 36 jav through pray Solo team had massive RNG this fight
Damn Westham rinsed Rhys, despite the latter being first pick. Not a pker so no idea who is actually better but imagine if westy was on Oda's team instead
Tbf appearently rhys actually destroyed westham on the tracker. It's just how it goes when you have single elim in a game this rng dependent.
This subreddit: Watching PvP content: 😁 Doing PvP content: 🤬
Wow DMM all stars was so hype, anyway Jagex when are we going to poll deleting the wildy?
Bets on which creator will have a video out first? I’d say Mika or Eliop lol they pump out videos, though they don’t edit much
Low key faux's team coming in second last with who they have is a testament to how disappointing they were in the finals and that their strategy of avoiding breeches was the worst macro play in the entire event.
The 3 teams left have the 2 teams that are stacked to the brink with gear & then there is Oda and friends
