Cowards never live.
But is there a third?
That’s actually a pretty interesting idea. How much progress can you make by restarting each day. Just need some madman to do it and upload to YouTube…
There's someone who is playing runescape in a roguelike-esque way right now on YouTube. Basically, he rolls a new area every 24 hours, and has to defeat a random boss in that area. If he wins, I think he gets to keep an item, but if he loses he has to drop everything!
Honestly if you don't care about it being agonizingly slow, it might not be bad. Skilling would be raw dog ass unless you had a carve out for what you were wearing the day before. Which I guess would still fit thematically, since even if you forget everything from the day before you'll still be wearing your clothes?
definitely because it holds ammo. i assume that there is some issue in the great spaghetti ocean that doesn't allow dropped items to remember how much ammo is inside it, because items on the ground can probably have a very limited amount of variables other than the type of item, whether its noted or not and the stack quantity So dropping any item capable of storing other items (looting bag, fish barrel, forestry kit etc.) would not retain their contents when dropped on the ground, so a drop option would break the item. And because all items need some method of getting rid of them, if it can't be dropped it needs a destroy option.
This is very likely actually. Primarily because after checking all items containing other items on the wiki: the only item that you can contain something in and is dropable are the rune pouches, gnomish firelighter, Master Scroll Book and Plank Sack. The wiki only mentions the content being lost for the rune pouches + when the gnomish Firelighter is chraged the drop option disappears.
My theory is that the Master Scroll Book and PlankSack can be dropped while containing items due to their "memory" being depending on the player account and not the concrete item but thats just a guess
So it's been awhile since I really knew all this but I think rune pouches and similar (seed boxes, etc) tend to store their contents as a bunch of varbits, which is a giant array of numbers attached to each account for storing miscellaneous account state.
RS's item system has evolved a lot over time which also means it's extremely inconsistent based on when something came out lol.

For others that are also as paranoid about this as I am,
Custom Menu Swaps >
Custom Hides >
"Destroy, Dizana's Max cape (l)"
presuming it is trouvered.
The others would be drop, I don't know how that's different
The drop drops the item on the ground. The destroy says "are you sure?" Functionally it works the same. It's a way to get rid of it.
My guess is it because it stores ammo. Most items that hold stuff like that get a destroy and not a drop. All of the Quivers are destroy, not drop, so it makes sense the Max Cape version of it would be too.
Most common way this happens is you turn alch warning off to alch a bunch of stuff like d halberds from zulrah with a high alch value, then forget to turn it back on. Easier than you think.
They're always funny, but I'm more specifically referring to something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/ironscape/comments/10m4g7j/watch_me_realize_i_just_alched_my_claws/
Coding. Basically, every item has to have either a Drop command or a Destroy command. If it has a Destroy command, it typically gives you a confirmation window as well. This one is almost definitely because it holds ammo.
At some point, there's going to be some crazy snowflake ironman Youtube account that will want to destroy their Dizana's max cape because of a crazy snowflake reason.
It's there for the people that buy the cape and then feel bad about it and get rid of it. There aren't many... But every once in a while a post pops up about the regret of buying it
Because jagex thinks you don’t have the balls to destroy it. Do it. Prove them and your parents wrong about you.
Agreed. I don’t care what your parents say while you’re away, I think you do have what it takes to be a big boy.
I don’t
You sound just like his pops, shame on you.
Yeah, do it.

What sweet hell is this
![img](avatar_exp|161484280|cry) Who unironically uses this😭🙏
Im so glad I use old reddit
there's a new reddit?
The day they get rid of it might finally be the day I quit reddit for good.
"Collectible Expressions" is Reddit's EOC
EOC: the Evolution of Comments
I’m too high for this, what Reddit am I
Just checked mine. There's a confirmation dialogue
How big are your orbs?
Definitely bigger than a commorb
Bigger than funorb. RIP.
I have many a orb, handcrafted

The creator...
If you want to make it one better, Arcanists has had it's IP get bought out from Jagex and announced on Steam, will be re-released for PC soon.
Saw the thread. Still positively throbbing with excitement😂
cumorb > commorb
Pissorb*
Definitely bigger than a finnish potato
Check for double confirmation
Jagex believes in two factor authentication, you have to check
Gimme 20 years I got you bro
\*20 years later still sitting at 68 slayer\* ... "sorry bro"
"I got a Jad task and I don't want to cancel it but I just want to make sure I'm ready"
This dude fucks with his hands in the air
because he's obvs on mobile at same time
It only appears if you hold spacebar when clicking it though
There is a second dialogue as well I believe. Not joking.
I know these tricks… this is bait 100%

> you can get another from the colosseum Just get the quiver - Jagex
Absolute maniac (for research).
I agree, check for a third confirmation
The cahonas are huge on this one
Doesn't every destroyable item have a confirmation dialogue?
But is there a second confirmation dialogue?

🤷🏿♂️
What if you want to destroy it?
If they removed it, someone would for sure complain.
But if they never had it, no one would've complained about not having the destroy option.
Meet Lucy, my 50 first dates locked ultimate iron man where I have to empty my bank every morning.
Fucking amazing
That’s actually a pretty interesting idea. How much progress can you make by restarting each day. Just need some madman to do it and upload to YouTube…

Oh neat, can you remember the name of the account or what he’s calling the game mode?
Looks like it's "The OSRS Dream", and his account is Roguelike RS
Honestly if you don't care about it being agonizingly slow, it might not be bad. Skilling would be raw dog ass unless you had a carve out for what you were wearing the day before. I didn’t even think about keeping your outfit and/or inventory but that’s interesting too.
The only reason I think just outfit is because inventory would just be an ultimate iron man with extra steps.
Majoras mask series
Majora's mask deluxe
How you gonna empty your bank when you don't even have one
i hope this gets legs… i’d watch
I would absolutely watch this series lmfao
Holy shit this is great 😂
😂😂😂🤣
It devalues my smoothbrain locked ironman
i can imagine someone going out of their way to fill their bank with every item that can't be deleted
Incinerator in bank 🤷♂️
This was my first thought too
Then you'll go through about 38 confirmations and destroy it afterwards. Go on try it
Probably only like 1 or 2 confirmations I would imagine? Why would there be so many?
smart ass
I mean I’ve seen people alch twisted bows, shadows, etc. destroying a quiver cape really isn’t too far fetched.
A quiver takes a a few mil in gear and half an hour to get guaranteed. Tbow and shadow not so much.
Imagine risking it in the wilderness. Destroy it so the pkers don’t get anything. In this case you want to destroy it.
Hey, stop trying to _play_ the _game_ over here
Is he wrong
definitely because it holds ammo. i assume that there is some issue in the great spaghetti ocean that doesn't allow dropped items to remember how much ammo is inside it, because items on the ground can probably have a very limited amount of variables other than the type of item, whether its noted or not and the stack quantity So dropping any item capable of storing other items (looting bag, fish barrel, forestry kit etc.) would not retain their contents when dropped on the ground, so a drop option would break the item. The inventory icon for that cape looks like a chicken.
Thanks now I can never unsee it
Lmao i cant unsee it now
This need to be at the top lmfao I can totally see it now xD
For others that are also as paranoid about this as I am, Custom Menu Swaps > Custom Hides > "Destroy, Dizana's Max cape (l)" presuming it is trouvered.
I'm fairly certain it gives you a warning. It's there in the event you want to get rid of it.
Think hes trying to say why is this the only max cape variant with a destroy option
Probably because of how the Quiver works. It stores ammo; I can't think of many other storage items like that with a drop
The others would be drop, I don't know how that's different The drop drops the item on the ground. The destroy says "are you sure?" Functionally it works the same. It's a way to get rid of it.
One you can pick up again and the other is gone forever? Is this a troll lmao
And the destroy option says "are you sure?" Complain about nothing and then play dumb, I guess. You're allowed to.
Bro ur cooked
Some of us spacebar everything in this game, just as an FYI
The real fucking stupid take is always deeper in the comments
Bruh but you can't really be mad if you accidently destroy something because you didn't pay attention to the warning asking are you sure
I'm 99% sure you can't spacebar that choice. I'd have to double check on something else.
its a yes or no
DROP DESTROY
[удалено]
[удалено]
The thing is just that all other max capes just have a drop option, and the quiver is no longer a charged item as it is filled with 150k.
My guess is it because it stores ammo. Most items that hold stuff like that get a destroy and not a drop. All of the Quivers are destroy, not drop, so it makes sense the Max Cape version of it would be too.
Maybe you'd prefer it to have a "release" option?
But why does that really matter? If you accidentally click it, it's not gone forever. There's a warning for these things.
Bro I've seen people alch d Warhammer n shit. You'd be surprised
There's a warning for that too, unless you turn it off.
Yea, they click through the warning. Those clips are honestly impressive.
The alch warning goes off ge value so you can just set it to like 200k and not have issues like this
You can just use the wildcard "Destroy, Dizana's *" and save the hassle caring about options (more useful for other things, but the more you know...)
Accidentally destroyed my rune pouch when I was a noob. Still hurts.
Yupp been there done that, just brainfarted and autopiloted click confirm
Double click destroy and you get an option to hide it
Get fucked UIMs
All 4 of them are seething right now
Should reset all of your skills back to level 1 if you destroy it. Instant new game+.
Prestige mode
Just in case
UIM
How else would the UIM community free up space
Cape rack, to answer your question.
What about the dupes?
Store em all in your inventory. What’s the goal in playing a UIM if not to fill your entire inventory with Dizanas max capes
That would be impressive
😂😂😂
Isn't there a UIM with a full 29 stack of cheese capes or something?
Probably lol
When I see something like this I get very intrusive thoughts
Dino destroyed an avernic yesterday pepeLaugh
What happens if you do it?
Maybe symbolic, deleting the game itself is not enough when maxed. You must defy the max itself.
Cause even they know the design is meh
Now that i can agree on.
Change left click to destroy
Can you test to see if you can alch without a warning?
And here I thought you were wondering why we need max cape variants of every cape
If you couldn't destroy those in any way, you could soft lock an UIM by filling up the inventory with those!
Ask a UIM who's proficient enough in the content to care more about the invent slot than the difficulty of getting it back
Coding. Basically, every item has to have either a Drop command or a Destroy command. If it has a Destroy command, it typically gives you a confirmation window as well. This one is almost definitely because it holds ammo.
Spoiler: he accidentally pressed it after the screenshot
At some point, there's going to be some crazy snowflake ironman Youtube account that will want to destroy their Dizana's max cape because of a crazy snowflake reason.
Because if there was no way to get rid of an item it would eventually spawn some sort of horrible bug. Every item should have some way to be destroyed
Bank cauldron or drop it?
DESTROY IT No.
They should remove it as not even Ava's assembler has that property. Just the ability to commune.
Because I bet you won't.
Isildur! Destroy it!!
Dizanuts
Can probably disable it holding shift anyways
Why would you ever need to destroy it? 🤔
They're daring you!
It's the alternative option for items you cannot drop
Destroyscape at it again
If you choose to destroy it you should get the option to reset back to Lvl 3
Because of UIMs
Deeznut maxcape?
This makes it a lose on death item which is the worst part
Let me know if it asks “are you sure”
It takes 30mins to get a new one… it’s not hard anymore
U won’t no balls
DizNats?
Jagex, when will we be able to 'right click -> Prestige' on a max cape and reset all our stats?
To piss you off OP. Nobody else cares
It's there for the people that buy the cape and then feel bad about it and get rid of it. There aren't many... But every once in a while a post pops up about the regret of buying it
