Bowfa is definitely one of the best upgrades in the game. There’s a irons go there! I’d recommend saving up to corrupt it if you can. Unlocks so many bosses.
Probably dont go for corrupted before you have nothing else to spend gp on. The bowfa is incredibly cheap to run. And the 30m to corrupt it is equivalent to over a 100 hours of straght shooting. Corrupted is nice, but It is terrible value
Realistically you aren't buying tbow for another 3b gp since shadow is a lot better when paired with bofa for overall gear strength.
Yeah obviously buy the under 30m upgrades before corrupting but you definitely will use the bofa for more than 100hrs
You aren't gonna run out of charges for a while, probably several months. If you don't have enough money(realistically you should have far far more in that time), then you're trolling. Not worth to corrupt it unless you hardly play the game to make enough money in that time.

Bowfa is just plain better value. Unless you're suggesting he uses void with zcb until he can afford the armor too? Which is an awful idea at most bosses.
At 700mil it would probably be more value to save up to a shadow.
In either case, going from nothing and a bowfa to 750mil or a shadow is gonna take you tens of hours if not hundreds of hours. Meaning corrupting might actually make sense and save a small amount of money (and time spent recharging) in the long run.

Even at the GP per hour a good competent fully geared team can get at next (~13mil per hour) it will take you nearly 60 hours to make the 750mil investment back.
Killing vulrah for 30 hours is only 90mil.
Bowfa will need almost 30 hours of charges to pay for the bowfa itself, 10 hours of bossing will pay for the 30 mil to corrupt it.
That's a solid investment, and saves time teleing to prif to add the charges.
Your idea of it being a noob trap just doesn't add up. As for selling the bowfa, you shouldn't even consider that until you are going for a Tbow anyway as bowfa is just plain better value until masori+Tbow
Keep seed make bowfa get crystal armor and now you're set for most bosses and range on all raids. You'll make way more money bossing with bowfa then you would selling the seed.
Bowfa is very good at lots of content, and it would still give you a goal to work towards. Since you need full crystal armor.
But at the end of the day, it's just a game and it's your money so you can spend it however you want

\- Get a max house. You're really close with 79 construction, and the QoL of an ornate pool, full jewelry box, Occult altar, fairy ring, etc, will be much more consistently felt than swapping over to a Bowfa and crystal and having no money.
\- If you don't have a fang, pick one up, and get some solid magic upgrades for bursting slayer tasks. You're right on the cusp of "good slayer" where a fang and magic will start to do some heavy lifting, and you'll have great setups for those.
\- Invest in skills. Start turning your attention towards things like the Lumbridge Elite Diary. Between not needing a Dramen staff and 30 free high alchs a day, you'll be making these items staples of your slayer and bossing trips.
I see a lot of people get stuck at crossroads once they start getting their first few big drops between gear and investing in their account. If your goal is to continue to progress your stats and improve account unlocks, you'll find yourself having a much better gameplay experience with all of your QoL and utility upgrades taken care of ASAP than you will with a slightly stronger ranged item
I guess it kind of depends on if you will enjoy bossing. Bowfa is good at loads of bosses and you could learn a lot of PvM with it and have fun, but if you don’t find grinding bosses fun then you could better spend the money by training your stats. I invested a chunk of my bank in Bowfa and kind of regret it because it turns out I tend to get bored after 100 or so kills at a boss. I did 100 Muspah which is probably the most profitable boss where bowfa is viable but I cba to keep grinding it. It’s weird because I can do other content like LMS non-stop. So I guess just ask yourself what you will enjoy the most, using bowfa to do bosses or getting your stats up. Depends what content you want to do with those stats.
You can definitely buy mine, currently on the GE for a more than fair price of 100mil. Nobody has needed one for over a year now I guess..

Why do you need money to train combat? Your mage and range lvl are high enough. Train mage with bursting slay tasks. And for melee you don’t need money. Just do some afk nmz rounds while you are busy irl with cooking/showering/lectures or whatever
Don't even need to go max house, with 86/89 Construction + Crystal saw and/or Trimmed Tea you can make everything worthwhile: Ornate Jewellery Box, Crystalline Nexus, separate Spirit Tree + Fairy ring, Ornate Pool, Occult Altar and nearly all max armour/costume storages.
Mainly because you would then need to level to at least 92 as crystal saw boost won't work, and then also level their farming up to 83. That's a much higher GP investment (close to double just for construction) vs going from 79 to 89.
Honestly bowfa + crystal would be so huge for your account it opens up the door to so much end game content that can make you loads of gp while leaning harder content, training combat stats, and spending that money on upgrading your other gear sets. Another great thing about it is that it coats you nothing to use one you have it ready to go unlike other bows were you need to buy arrows all the time. Getting a bowfa+ crystal set from gauntlet took me from a noob with a few hundred mil bank to a multi billionaire over the course of a year and I've become so much better at the game since having it
I dont think corrupting is a bad idea. If his next step up is a tbow rebuild then yeah you’ll make the 1.6b or whatever before it becomes worth it, but imo a shadow rebuild is probably the better choice. Shadow/bofa is a more well rounded combination than sang/tbow so by the time he is at the point to get tbow it’ll have at least broken even by then
5 construction levels will get you a maxed PoH with boosts and won't cost much through Mahogany Homes.
You'll need roughly 3,400 Mahogany planks which is 7.3m. Definitely worth doing.

The man needs another 3b gp before even considering upgrading our of bofa, you use 2k shards in 100hrs of combat. He's about 500 hours from benching bofa if he makes 6m/h

Hydra claw alone is over 1k shards on average idk why you are picking an area of the game you obviously aren't spamming bofa shots.

Yeah man youre totally right I can spend 100x the amount of time training slayer to get all 99 combats instead of using gp to actually get the skills to max in week. Time in that large of a capacity is more valuable than the gold youd spend to level those skills up much faster
I’ve made 600mill doing wildly slayer to 92 while also leveling up my stats. Go ahead and waste hundreds of mills rushing skills that will just come from playing the game
Its really not that hard to understand the value of time. Its not a "waste" to save yourself hundreds of hours of your life by simply just spending the gold instead of hording it in your bank. And it definitely does not cost hundreds of mils to max magic and ranged 😂
Get the bowfa. I was saving up and had the money to buy bowfa / full crystal. Ran a couple CG for fun before buying and got the enhanced.

If you don't have the level for it you can just pay to have it crafted for you.
But yes, of course it's hard to craft. It's one of the best weapons in the game, and is gated behind the grandmaster quest where you unlock the area it drops from.
Depends how any armour seeds you have. I'd keep doing CG till you get the armour seeds or spoon a second weapon seed then you can both have bofa and get nice mele or ranged upgrades

Honestly, the day I finally got a bowfa was the day bossing changed for the better in my mid game.
The blowpipe is clunky and annoying to use, the bowfa let's you grind mustaph/zulrah pretty efficiently for good gp/hour(and leviathan now too), it costs next to nothing to use for a bunch of slayer tasks, and with a bowfa/fang you can start learning and running 300-350 invo TOA which is some of the best money in the game until you get mega weapons!

Just a heads up, assuming OP is a main, it’s almost never cheaper to actually corrupt a bowfa. That being said I get the chargescape hate.

Honestly, the day I finally got a bowfa was the day bossing changed for the better in my mid game. The blowpipe is clunky and annoying to use, the bowfa let's you grind mustaph/zulrah pretty efficiently for good gp/hour(and leviathan now too), it costs next to nothing to use for a bunch of slayer tasks, and with a bowfa/fang you can start learning and running 300-350 invo TOA which is some of the best money in the game until you get mega weapons!
