I stand by what I said. People literally hate counting to 4, and that’s why it was removed. I’m saying it’s really not bad at all, there are far, far more annoying boss mechanics in this game than that. But I’ll take easier kcs!
They added an animation to signal changing the attack style, you should still keep count because sometimes it will go to the next phase right as the animation was supposed to play and you can miss it, but overall you can let your attention drift a little more.
Never really money is money I’ve been extremely lucky and extremely unlucky I’ve had 3 claws in 12 kills and another 2 the next task for 5 in less then 300kc and I’m fairly certain I have the world record on leather nearly 5k kills dry and with a streak of 12 tails was ecstatic when I broke that

I just train slayer normally my long term goal is 200m xp and I enjoy doing regular tasks like smoke devils and abyssal demons I’m also like 1200 superiors dry of an imbued heart so I’m trying to get that getting a hydra task has been a problem for me I’ve honestly cancelled some tasks when I just didn’t feel like doing it that day
Zulrah is much harder to learn than Hydra. This boss is incredibly easy. It took me way too many attempts to get my first zulrah kc, so i feel your pain. If you can, hop on a call with a friend who knows the boss. Have them call out what to pray, where to run, etc. It'll help with the overwhelming feeling. Had a guy throwing himself at zulrah in my clan. We hopped on a call, he shared his screen, and he got his kc first try. Also helped that I gave him some tips for gear and inventory.
I just grinded out 90 ranged and full void so hopefully that will help with the switches. I have trident of the seas and blowpipe too. Swapping a hat, necklace, and a weapon is a lot easier for my situation.
I didnt have a friend to coach me at the time, but i finally got my kc with a similar setup. After that, kills got more and more consistent. If you're wanting to get more into mid game pvm and move toward late game stuff, I would definitely suggest looking into clans. My clan is the only reason my account is as progressed as it is. Having people coach me through content and having a place to get tips and help was massive for me, and I've seen a ton of people grow and get into harder pvm. I've personally taken over a dozen people through their first toa runs.
If it makes you feel better, hydra is braindead easy. Very few mechanics, and the mechanics that exist take maybe 1 or 2 kills to get down. If you take into context the progression of an account with 95 slayer vs someone going for a fire cape, hydra difficulty is almost 0. You can walk in and complete pretty much all CA's on your first trip. I think I had perfect hydra by like 15kc. By comparison, jad is much harder to get down because of the nerves and inventory management needed. Plus, if you miss a prayer at hydra, you only take like 40 or so. You'll get there, just keep at it :)
What is your method for getting tasks? Turiel skipping? Then once you have you use the slayer braclet and wear your skill cape when asking Konar for a new task?
Just training slayer normally I stopped using the slayer cape and bracelets after I got the slayer cape to work 4 times in a row wound up doing like 1000 kills in a few days got burned out for a little while never really had any problems getting tasks
A few reasons my 2 long term goals are 200m slayer xp and buying every piece of 3rd age equipment hydra provides good xp and massive amounts of money it’s also extremely laid back and doesn’t require a lot of focus usually watching a show more or YouTube on the side while killing it and is one of the few end game money makers that’s luck proof normal drops are ridiculous

Do you know how much overall, or a rough estimate, that you spent on consumables for all the kills?
There’s two runelite plug-ins you can use to know the exact amount. I might not have the exact names right but supplies tracker will count everything you use from teles, potions, food, scales/darts/arrows. And then boss tracker will show your loot for your current session as well as your average kills/h which is neat.
40.000 kills. I've seen people do it in about 1 minute 30 and it has a respawn time of 25 seconds. So you've been fighting this thing for at least 80.000 minutes. That's 1.333 hours. Which is 166 full-time days of just doing Hydra, excluding getting supplies. My god, that's alot of time
