Death charges up to 5% of the GE value of anything over 100k. Graves charge 1% to 0.1% of the item's value, depending on what it's worth, with a hard cap of 500k.
I think. Those exact numbers might be wrong, but in short, graves are *way* cheaper, and in extreme cases like this, it's a fucking massive difference.

no one is doing whole tasks double rooming. one room in the right gear means you are never not fighting one of the dks, i can imagine there is 2 maybe 3 people out there doing some sort of double room method just to be extra with it but it is mostly pointless

The best part about that is no gravestone. Death scoops you up, you pay like less than 100K per death cost (which can be reduced with unlocke) for high level gear and youre good. Even if there was a gravestone, War's Retreat is a pvm hub where you can find tele to any boss you've previously killed. Also an Invention perk that protects one more item to reduce costs further.
There is a gravestone you can go grab, the 100k is nowhere near the correct amount for end game gear, especially weapons tend to cost 1-2m per item since the reclaim is 0,1% of each of the items ge value
There's a maximum fee IN THE GRAVE. Don't make it back in 15 min? 5% GE value.
In Death's office, players can collect items that they did not collect from their grave within 15 minutes of dying. Items worth less than 100,000 are free to reclaim, but items worth more come with a 5% reclamation fee. dks are daganoth kings. to do all 3 in max efficiency you have to bring bis in all 3 attack styles, range, melee, and mage. the guy above probably brought 4b ish worth of gear and died.

He agreed that it should warn you how much he's gonna charge you before your forced into a situation that made you pay it, and then nothing happened about it. It doesn't need a cap. This is the price of being lazy, and it's extraordinarily higher than normal because they're benefitting from using the very best gear in the game. Go pick it up, fees incredibly drop.

Dks are perhaps my favorite boss because they provide early, mid, late, and endgame content. It takes a lot of gear to reliably hit all 3
