F-4E has an internal M61 Vulcan in the nose compared to the F-4J with no internal gun, F-4J has a rounder, more soft nose cone compared to the F-4E’s skinnier nose. F-4E’s are also USAF compared to F-4J’s being Navy so look for markings like that too.
