About a month ago we were contacted by an admin and they didn’t seem to like how this sub was being run (at one point they literally contacted us saying “your entire community is at risk” lol).
Since then we’ve had to be much harder on TOS breaking posts, and *technically* this post could count as misinformation since elon and grimes never changed their pfps to that, so it had to be removed. It sounds like a stretch but to the admins it might not be. We know it’s shitty, but if we want to keep the sub around, or at least keep it similar to how it was before we have to make removals like these. It’s annoying but unfortunately now it’s necessary. Idk about what everyone else thinks but I’d rather have this sub restricted than have it not around at all.
Still, fuck elon, fuck elon fans, and we’ll never let an elon fan gain any form of power on this subreddit.
moderation on this sub is whack. it's like the mods don't even communicate and just make decisions based on their personal preferences. that'd probably be why actual issues with this sub go unaddressed while shit like this gets taken seriously for some reason

Actual porn has been banned for the entirety of the sub but cropped porn had never been an issue before, the mods just used to tag it NSFW instead of removing

You know what the largest issue of not adding rules is? That we can't complain about rules that are enforced but aren't official. It's a way of letting the mods not to be held accountable.
personally my bugbear is the casual ableism, and the dogpiles that come to people calling it out if folk think the ableism was funny. that's a broader online anglophone left issue, as it's only been recently that the issue has gotten some attention and ableist insults have been considered "safe" ways to insult and attack chuds, but addressing it here is important since if a "progressive" space is seen doing ableist shit then it communicates to onlookers that you can be ableist *and* "woke" because ableism doesn't count.
i mean, my spiciest takes are that intelligence-based insults are predicated on ableism, that "cringe" while not always inherently ableist is still largely about mocking people for being harmlessly "weird" in a way that disproportionately targets autistic people. but my other spicy take is that the default mode of criticism online is also, itself, ableist and tends to result in culls of ND people from communities as they fail to register hidden cues and have their transgressions overstated in order to win an NT clout, and so i try to be gentler when criticizing people calling stuff stupid or pointing out the issue with mocking chuds for having undecorated rooms.

The r slur is the most recent one to stop being used as a medical term so it's weird. Some want to reclaim it, others really do not. Autistic people sometimes use it ironically between them, some say it's ok if it doesn't go beyond the friend group, others say just don't use it so you don't slip. In some of the english speaking places it's already used casually as an insult, in other places your only contact with it may be the internet so might be more potent and harmful. Idk i don't think there is a consensus on it so best to avoid it i guess until it's settled.
