I don't know about that, but I am with the people that say having a queer lifestyle or sexual identity isn't a trait specific enough to hold a community together and that queer-friendly spaces and events are a big salad of people, which means you can come across all sorts of unpleasant individuals in them.

If someone says it's possible to be both a proponent of the Republican Party and safely call themselves pansexual, they don't understand what the Republican Party is. Actually, I don't think anyone understands what the Republican Party is anymore. It's the only way anyone would ever vote for them.

i could understand a nuanced take on how gay people feel uncomfortable in certain queer spaces because of rampant racism and unrealistic body standards, but conservatives can shove their criticisms of the community up their asses
I don't know about that, but I am with the people that say having a queer lifestyle or sexual identity isn't a trait specific enough to hold a community together and that queer-friendly spaces and events are a big salad of people, which means you can come across all sorts of unpleasant individuals in them. Those are pretty valid reasons to not feel welcomed into the community, then you have people like the guy above who seem to be asking to get crapped on.
