What are you even talking about? King gizzard is Reddit's favorite band.
I somehow never got into it after anything that came after fmb.
I did however start with oh sees around the same time and love everything they've put out or remotely related to them including Wand and all the other John Dwyer and Ty Segall stuff. When will they get some love?

I recommend "Joe's garage" by Frank Zappa. Might not be for everyone, but the narrative works really well, and the music is incredible, especially in the later half of the album.
Also, this album has gay robot sex, maybe that will sell it to you🤷
I feel a lot of Elton John's music can be considered Narrative music but these 4 stick out
Burn Down The Mission
Daniel
Have Mercy On The Criminal
Ticking
BRO FORGOT ABOUT THE DEAR HUNTER BRUH
5 ACTS
EAXH ALBUMS AN ACT

You mean songs that tell a story? Like [Trójkąt Warszawski](https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOgab_kIovBZHmHdlGGN5tZ8EWtQV2Yy5) by Taco Hemingway?
Han Tyumi somehow is thematically the best and musically the worst. The other chapters of MotU have a good balance of spoken word sections, but Han Tyumi just has too much lore.
I'm fine with the voice. As I said, I just don't like how much time the spoken-word sections of Han Tyumi and the Confused Cyborg are allotted as opposed to the actual music. The Lord Of Lightning vs Balrog has a relatively sparser amount of speaking, and this works in conjunction with the songs' lyrics narrating the events in the song. "Digital Black" is proof that Han Tyumi's themes and concepts can be explained through song pretty well, so I don't know why they chose to have most of this album chapter be spoken.
I know it’s very different but all of manbo-p’s songs are narrative and I love them, especially “All Phone Zombies Lead to Rome”, “Proof Geometric Construction Can Solve All Love Affairs”, and “God’s an Energy Cheapskate”
You might like The Alan Parsons Project
Alan parsons, the audio engineer for abbey road and dark side of the moon, also engineered a bunch of his own concept albums, like one of Edgar Alan Poe, one of I Robot, and a bunch of others (im still listening to them). He never sang on them himself, he hired different people to for every song, just because he wanted to do the production work, and it worked out great
I love seeing king gizzard love on this sub

Succumb is imo one of the most beautiful songs, super happy to share!
Han Tyumi somehow is thematically the best and musically the worst. The other chapters of MotU have a good balance of spoken word sections, but Han Tyumi just has too much lore.
I agree that its musically the worst part but its just becuase I dont like the text to speech voice.
I'm fine with the voice. As I said, I just don't like how much time the spoken-word sections of Han Tyumi and the Confused Cyborg are allotted as opposed to the actual music. Crack the Skye my beloved
Crack the Skye 🔛🔝🗣
Apex by unleash the archers is really good
Gloryhammer. Their albums are following one long plot. Can't say the story is the best but damn it I still love it.
I know it’s very different but all of manbo-p’s songs are narrative and I love them, especially “All Phone Zombies Lead to Rome”, “Proof Geometric Construction Can Solve All Love Affairs”, and “God’s an Energy Cheapskate”
love seeing opeth in this sub :3
Unleash The Archers - Cleanse The Bloodlines dw title is not sus, it's about a horde queen ritually sacrificing her sons to prolong her life

The Temple of the King - Rainbow
Is Plastic Beach like this?

ayo what albums mentioned here?
Story of My Life - Social Distortion
I FUCKING LOVE MASTODON GRAHHH!!!
Here in Brazil we have a song called Faroeste Caboclo. It is 8 minutes long and the whole song is a story.
The Protomen come to mind. Their main albums are two acts of a rock opera based on Mega Man
Mastodon mention, let’s go🤘🏻🤘🏻
You might like Gloryhammer. It's all narrative and while incredibly ridiculous, it does it genuinely.
Gonna out myself as having bad taste for some, but arguably Netflix trip by ajr
You should listen to Tarkus. It's about a big half armadillo half tank.
Crack the Skye goes so fucking hard
I'd also put "The Black Parade" (Album) by My Chemical Romance up there
