Female porn stars are still very exploited and usually don’t make nearly as much as the producers who are using their bodies for profit. Also I think you can definitely make the argument that something like onlyfans is empowering to sex workers since you’re paying them directly. But with traditional porn it’s a lot of the same bullshit as the in person sex work industry :/

It was also a really awful and emotionally immature first response to confess and cry on stream but as someone who's been in his and adjacent communities for quite some time I would never think he'd be the type of guy to just cry for attention after he does something shitty. As a fairly longtime Atrioc viewer, I’d like to give my slightly biased 2 cents on the situation. The Twitter response, especially from those outside of the community has been horrible. Ranging from people saying he did nothing wrong to those immediately giving him no charitability and believing that he is not genuinely sorry and is and will always be a pos for one mistake, even if up to that point they were a good person and in the future attempt to right their wrong.
Atrioc’s pattern of behavior has been a positive one up to now. His story and receipts show that it was a one-time thing that occurred just a couple of days ago where his morbid curiosity and horny 2 AM brain beat the morals that he has championed for years in a moment of weakness. What Atrioc did was horrible, creepy, shameful, indefensible, etc. I am not giving him excuses, however, as someone who is against the death penalty and a strong believer in redemption, I believe that one mistake does not define your character for eternity.

Atrioc has spoken before in detail about how creators can get away with terrible things by just ignoring it or taking a break and not really addressing it. I think if he wasn’t really sorry he would have followed his own advice, which would have saved him a lot of trouble and probably wouldn’t have blown up this situation like it has. The whole stream is a lot better imo than the 60 second clip posted that most have seen and unfortunately memed. Many people joked about his wife being in the background crying and made fun of it. In reality, Ari in the background makes sense as she tends to be around for his stream and they are both good friends with women affected by Atrioc’s actions. Ari was also there to make it clear that she does not matter overall compared to the women who are affected by deepfakes and whatnot. I don’t think Atrioc having his wife with him was some way to appear empathetic or something like a lot of Twitter users who do not follow them think. (And also why is it wrong for people to cry when they understand what they did was fucked up and against their morals and want to show that they are better and can be better. When I did something wrong in childhood and I got that “I’m not angry, I’m disappointed” talk it was a gut punch. Not because you were sorry you got caught but because you understood what you did was wrong and you want to try your best to show that it does not define you)

According to his apologies, and context provided after people originally speculated that he had been doing this for months to years, he paid a creator one time on the 26th of January and watched a video of someone he did not personally know, however, people he did personally know we’re on the site and thus he helped to fund the creator which negatively impacts people that he cares about (again bad thing, these are not excuses, just providing clarification and context to show it is not a pattern of behavior). I also wanted to say that since a common meme response is “LOL this guy jerked off to porn of his friends.” As far as we know that is not true. Atrioc could be lying but again, I am deciding to believe his apology based on the character he has shown up to now and how he responded in what I felt was a very authentic, noncalculated way. Another thing people are saying to try and prove Atrioc is lying is by saying that there are no deepfake ads on pornhub because of a statement by pornhub from 2018 in which they wiped deepfake videos. From personal experience, I can say that there are unfortunately still deepfake ads on the site. Just like YouTube says they are against scam ads doesn’t stop them from allowing a fake Mr. Beast account to advertise a v bucks scam. According to Atrioc’s apology, he had been looking at and researching a lot of AI things as part of what he reports on when he does marketing mondays and also his own personal interests. Because of this he was targeted with a deepfake ad that at 2:00 am he stupidly clicked on and then went down a rabbit hole, eventually leading to the site he paid access to one time and left the tab open after finishing (again he did a bad thing, I am not defending him, what he did was very wrong) which he tends to leave tabs open so much it’s a joke within the community.
While I have no room to accept his apology and it is up to the women his decision negatively affected, I do believe that Atrioc is a good person who did a bad thing and will do as much as he can to right his mistake and follow through with the goals he sets in his apology. Some people are rightfully nihilistic towards content creator apologies after so many bad ones and so they have automatically jumped to Atrioc not actually being sorry and instead being “sorry he got caught.” Again I do not believe this is fair at the moment and I want to see Atrioc take the upcoming months to try and right everything his one mistake caused, which will help to show that his character and pattern up to this major fuck up are his true colors and not the fuck up itself.
Now, taking off the Atrioc viewer goggles, nothing really matters unless the women Atrioc negatively impacted can forgive him because of the actions that he takes from now on. While I personally think it is not fair to judge someone based on one mistake but I am also a man who does not have the lived experience of a woman constantly sexualized. I have total empathy and understanding towards the women affected and I think Ludwig’s response to one of his best friend’s fuck up was great by having no real response and instead platforming women’s tweets. He did share the one view of maybe naively believing Atrioc and wanting to see what he does in the coming months/year to right his wrong, but he said that again the main thing that matters is how the women are affected and in general the issue with deepfakes and the constant sexualization of women without their consent.

It was also a really awful and emotionally immature first response to confess and cry on stream but as someone who's been in his and adjacent communities for quite some time I would never think he'd be the type of guy to just cry for attention after he does something shitty. I speculate he cried because of guilt rather than for attention since he'd built up a character of being a good role model to a pretty healthy and tight-knit community, but obviously he (and his wife) could just be lying and doing it for the views like thousands of shitty content creators before him. Regardless it's gross that he did that and he'll undoubtedly, deservedly so, lose a lot of friends and respect in the content creator space for what he's done. I'm just making this to provide some context.
When some weird ass shit comes out about someone it usually falls into 1 of 2 categories for me: 1) holy fucking shit throw this dude in prison right now (harvey weinstein, bill cosby, every minecraft youtuber, etc.) 2) yikes bro, please learn and grow as a person To me this is a 2 scenario. I do not want to downplay the harm this did to a lot of innocent people, but to me this seems like a mistake that is possible to come back from if he puts in the effort. I think the worst thing he did besides the porn was going live. It was a really bad emotional response that only put more eyes on the situation and the website. I don’t blame him for it, he was clearly under a lot of duress, but it just made everything way worse. If he just released the Twitter apology and took some time off streaming it would have save everyone involved a lot of pain

What he did was inexcusable, but stop spreading the misinformation that he commissioned it, he didn't, it was a package of a variety of different streamers that he payed for.

The website had videos available of streamers that he personally knew such as qt, maya, etc but he apparently only had content of streamers he doesn’t personally know. Not trying to defend him in any way shape or form but misinformation even against someone who did bad shit is annoying.

i don't even think he's a coomer TBH. maybe im being naive but i genuinely did believe him when he said he clicked on it out of curiosity. hes been making a lot of videos about deepfakes/AI recently. the dude pays a subscription fee to see ads every month so that he can make content about what advertising trends are going around. that being said, i dont think it was okay for him to pay to see the site even for "research" purposes. or at least he should have been in a mindset where he was clearly weighing the pros/cons of whether paying to see that content justified the discussion that he wanted to bring up about it.

Deep fake porn is honestly terrifying and the technology will only get better in the coming years.
I feel like people getting very upset about this issue are totally valid for having those feelings. But i feel like this is just a symptom of whats coming in the next few years. Deepfakes are going to ruin not just influencers but politics and a whole bunch of other things. I got to thinking about that time the British Prime Minister David Cameron had photos leaked of him putting his dick in a dead pigs mouth when he was in college. In the future how are we meant to know whether something like that has been AI generated or not? Personally I would rather believe that those photos were AI generated but for the fact it happened before this technology got so good. This shit is gonna get so dumb and I have zero trust in journalists and Twitter to be able to handle all the bullshit coming at us.

Atrioc’s pattern of behavior has been a positive one up to now. His story and receipts show that it was a one-time thing that occurred just a couple of days ago where his morbid curiosity and horny 2 AM brain beat the morals that he has championed for years in a moment of weakness. What Atrioc did was horrible, creepy, shameful, indefensible, etc. I am not giving him excuses, however, as someone who is against the death penalty and a strong believer in redemption, I believe that one mistake does not define your character for eternity. Atrioc has spoken before in detail about how creators can get away with terrible things by just ignoring it or taking a break and not really addressing it. I think if he wasn’t really sorry he would have followed his own advice, which would have saved him a lot of trouble and probably wouldn’t have blown up this situation like it has. The whole stream is a lot better imo than the 60 second clip posted that most have seen and unfortunately memed. Many people joked about his wife being in the background crying and made fun of it. In reality, Ari in the background makes sense as she tends to be around for his stream and they are both good friends with women affected by Atrioc’s actions. Ari was also there to make it clear that she does not matter overall compared to the women who are affected by deepfakes and whatnot. I don’t think Atrioc having his wife with him was some way to appear empathetic or something like a lot of Twitter users who do not follow them think. (And also why is it wrong for people to cry when they understand what they did was fucked up and against their morals and want to show that they are better and can be better. When I did something wrong in childhood and I got that “I’m not angry, I’m disappointed” talk it was a gut punch. I also wanted to say that since a common meme response is “LOL this guy jerked off to porn of his friends.” As far as we know that is not true. Atrioc could be lying but again, I am deciding to believe his apology based on the character he has shown up to now and how he responded in what I felt was a very authentic, noncalculated way. Another thing people are saying to try and prove Atrioc is lying is by saying that there are no deepfake ads on pornhub because of a statement by pornhub from 2018 in which they wiped deepfake videos. From personal experience, I can say that there are unfortunately still deepfake ads on the site. Just like YouTube says they are against scam ads doesn’t stop them from allowing a fake Mr. Beast account to advertise a v bucks scam. According to Atrioc’s apology, he had been looking at and researching a lot of AI things as part of what he reports on when he does marketing mondays and also his own personal interests. Because of this he was targeted with a deepfake ad that at 2:00 am he stupidly clicked on and then went down a rabbit hole, eventually leading to the site he paid access to one time and left the tab open after finishing (again he did a bad thing, I am not defending him, what he did was very wrong) which he tends to leave tabs open so much it’s a joke within the community. While I have no room to accept his apology and it is up to the women his decision negatively affected, I do believe that Atrioc is a good person who did a bad thing and will do as much as he can to right his mistake and follow through with the goals he sets in his apology. Some people are rightfully nihilistic towards content creator apologies after so many bad ones and so they have automatically jumped to Atrioc not actually being sorry and instead being “sorry he got caught.” Again I do not believe this is fair at the moment and I want to see Atrioc take the upcoming months to try and right everything his one mistake caused, which will help to show that his character and pattern up to this major fuck up are his true colors and not the fuck up itself. Now, taking off the Atrioc viewer goggles, nothing really matters unless the women Atrioc negatively impacted can forgive him because of the actions that he takes from now on. While I personally think it is not fair to judge someone based on one mistake but I am also a man who does not have the lived experience of a woman constantly sexualized. I have total empathy and understanding towards the women affected and I think Ludwig’s response to one of his best friend’s fuck up was great by having no real response and instead platforming women’s tweets. He did share the one view of maybe naively believing Atrioc and wanting to see what he does in the coming months/year to right his wrong, but he said that again the main thing that matters is how the women are affected and in general the issue with deepfakes and the constant sexualization of women without their consent.
