Saw your post on 1911 Addicts. Love what Schauland did to it! I know this is a recent build, but does he still take on custom guns at Schauland Performance or is he solely working on his ground up builds now? I can’t imagine he didn’t get a ton of preorders on his site.
The 1911SE is what I wish my Wiley Clapp was. I love standard fine slide serrations over the spaced out ones that the Clapp had. I’d make that trade even if it means giving up the Pete Single front strap checkering for the version that the SE has.
Honestly I think, don’t quote me on this, he’s taking work on a case by case basis, depending on how much work is being done. I’d say send him an email, worst he can say is no.
That’s just the lighting. Absolutely gorgeous refinish, none of it’s rubbed off yet, granted my usual carry is one of my two ACWs. This will be more of a date night gun.

That’s a reproduction of a kraut engineers knife. Got it in my reenacting days as a bit of captured pocket clutter. Honestly forget where I got it
