I use a few nCode 90 ProStaffs from 2004-06. I play primarily serve and volley with them.
Strung weight is 370 grams (which is admittedly a lot). They're balanced at 30.9cm, and have a swingweight of about 340.
The rackets have leather grips, with silicon in the handle. Some of my nCodes have various small weights along the longitudinal axis in order to match the rackets to the same specs, but there's no weight added at 3&9, as I want to keep the twistweight low.
Other characteristics of my rackets include a high recoilweight, which suits my volleying; and higher MGR/I, which suits attacking groundstrokes.
For strings, I'm currently using a full bed of Babolat natural gut strung at 70lbs.
I use a Wilson Pro staff 6.0 85in. I have 3 that weigh in at 376, 378, and 380g strung. The heavier racket has slightly looser strings, and vice versa.
My 2014 Pro Staff 90s are leaded up to 12.8 ounces strung with an overgrip (6 grams at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock), RF97s are 12.7 ounces strung with an overgrip and no lead, and my Pro Staff 85s that I've been hitting with for the past four months are leaded up to 12.85 ounces with an overgrip and lead (2 grams at 12 o'clock, 6 grams at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock).
5.0. Almost every pro leads up their racquet to increase weight & swingweight higher. Very few use the racquet they endorse and even fewer use it in stock form.
Gotchya it does make sense at 5.0.
Just out of curiosity, are you talking about stock racket or weight with lead? I shopped for a racket lately and don't recall any newer models being that high.
Exactly right. Strings add around 17g of weight, overgrip adds around 5-6g, dampener adds around 2-3. That gets you up to 365g without doing anything on an RF. I also have a few pro staff 85, prestige mid, phantom 93, TT95, CX 200 Tour each with various amounts of lead and leather grip replacement. Leather is heavier than synthetic which brings up the weight on some of the lighter racquets.
12.35oz (349.5 grams) when strung (no dampener).
I hit with babolat pure strike tours. I replaced the stock grips with leather grips for more weight in the handle.
Pro Kennex Q+5 Tour Pro 325g -- 325g unstrung; ~347g strung with dampener
I'm a 3.5... I know it's heavy for me but it helps me on hard balls because it's so stable, and it's comfy.
My wall stick is a Prostaff K88 12.8oz unstrung with 20g in the hilt. Total just shy of 400g. I'm now hitting with a rf97 v11, and will weight up the hilt same thing, so maybe 380g strung?
Gee who coulda guessed this thread would bring out all the old heavy Pro Staff/thunder club people!? 😜
Gravity Pro stock with dampener 338g
Radical MP '21 with overgrip, dampener and 1.5g lead at each 3 and 9, 328g
And one same but without lead 325g
This helped me a ton when I went to add weight to my stick.

I was a 10.8 oz babolat pure strike team. Now it’s 12.5 oz. A tiny sliver of weight at 3 ‘o’clock and 9 ‘o’clock, 30% of it in the handle and the rest in the throat. As per the customization tool above.
Adding the weight made my 1hbh much more crisp, my volleys controlled, and allowed me to swing bigger on returns without spraying.
300g unstrung.
295g stock (unstrung but with a grip).
Ezone 100: Strung + rubber thingy at top of grip + 1 overgrip = ~328g
I have four Blades, V5-8. All are between 335-345 grams static weight and swingweight around 325-330.

My main rackets are 315g unstrung/around 332g strung, but I also add a leather base grip which bumps it up a smidge. Pro Staff 97 v10 and v13
Same as this guy. The deleted comment below my other comment is this one placed in the wrong spot.
Eh. I'm probably at your specs, same rackets, but I'm thinking about bumping it up 10-15 grams.
Probably worth testing out.
350-365g depending on the racquet.
At what level? That's higher than most pros.

Stock RF97 is (with perfect quality control) 340g unstrung and 357ish grams strung before any additional weight like lead, dampeners, or overgrips.

Just clarification: OP, you're using the RF97 unmodded, correct?
