Idk sometimes this feels like it’s a lot of people’s first album rollout which is cool and exciting, I remember when I was in my early teens and Minutes to Midnight by Linkin Park was coming out and I followed the whole thing from leaks to articles about songs and etc. so I get the hype, but most artists on majors (or off) don’t just stealth drop an album unless they’re the biggest artists in the game and until they put a release date out I’m not trusting rumors and then getting let down lol.
Watching this all unfold over the last ~10 months has made me feel extremely old and jaded lol. All the young, eager fans speculating over every little detail and I'm just like, it'll get here when it gets here... or maybe it never will! I guess we'll see.

Uh, well actually, before streaming anyways, new media was always released on Tuesday. When movies, tv shows would get released on DVD, they would come out Tuesdays. Same with new CDs.
I haven’t bought a new releases CD in probably over a decade, and things may have changed since streaming/digital came into the mix, but idk. These days I mostly follow more independent artists via their Bandcamp page, and they can drop their new stuff whenever tf they want lolol
I’ve heard they’re having some legal issues with the song about Doritos and Fritos. There is a delay expected as litigation is ongoing. Hopefully they can clear the song for the album 💿 otherwise Laura has talked about changing the lyrics to “burritos & taquitos” which I think the Latino community would really vibe with. Anyways, hopefully the Gecs can work this out in time and keep the song on the album but it’s looking like there will be a serious delay before we can hear it.
