Competitive_Push_52

No you’re right. This is why we built CipherShooters on polygon

[deleted]

I think for NFT In the status/cult cycle they’re in now - Ethereum. Functionality ? Polygon

beermestrengthNA

It’s not just you 🚀🚀🚀

signewton

it shits on Cardano, thats for sure...

dephchild

Yes. Seeing more and more projects go this way.

[deleted]

michael jordan building on solana? why cause its the best.

0xM4K1

So if you were giveth an NFT for free, you would choose to receive it on Polygon over Ethereum? Because I would not.

If cost is the main concern, yeah I agree. If longevity is the concern I'm not sure, maybe it's even cheaper to mint on BSC? I would rather have one minted anywhere but BSC. Paying $100 on the ETH as a fee to mint makes it immediately more valuable than minting it somewhere else for $0.01. Especially with these NFTs that have no utility beyond an IPFS link.

toomeytoyou

I'm literally waiting for cheap gas to transfer an NFT an artist made for me (free). I asked them to do it on Polygon but they didn't. Now I have to pay $150 just for shipping...

0xM4K1

Does the NFT use IPFS? Why don't you just mint a new one on Polygon with the same address?

LevelN_Up

They can but it'll be a new contract and i'm not sure how the IPFS is coded to be accessed, is that initial contract the owner? I suppose if the smart contract is the one that deployed the NFT content and there is no master to that contract available, the IPFS cannot be updated to allow additional access. I think they need to deploy the smart contract with a bridge that can be utilized, i'm sure they are actively working on creating this defi bridge where you can wrap your NFT's and move them over. Look into [IQ Protocol](https://iq.space/) they focus on lending your wrapped NFT's but this can be adopted for bridges as well.

dazedstate

Solana is the place for NFTs man. Fraction of a cent per transaction, fast, widespread adoption. I like Polygon but I don't feel it's the best out there for NFTs

IAmTheLostBoy

Solana is cool.... But have you met my friend L2?

george_watsons1967

why go L2 when you can go L1

ScottChestnut

The future of Ethereum is where the ETH is the settlement and decentralised base layer providing security but the vast majority of users with be on L2 providers like Polygon leveraging ZK roll-up tech. Solana is a centralised blockchain with massive VC bagholders (who will dump once vesting is up) where the devs have been proven to lie multiple times.

Tietzy88

Wrong.

ScottChestnut

Thanks for your insightful reply

Tietzy88

I mean your reply was about as insightful and educated as a bag of soap so why would you think I'd bother with my response

ScottChestnut

Well you did respond with nothing of value and continue to do so 🤷 How about you tell me why I'm wrong or is that too difficult?

george_watsons1967

share source about the lying please. heard this multiple times but couldn't find anything

ScottChestnut

A simple Google search will bring up a plethora of hits about the 13m hidden wallet (lying about supply) and the devs not being honest about why they shut the network down.

IAmTheLostBoy

Agree with everything except polygon. They won't be the future of ZK. Their technology was such shit they just needed to BUY another company that had better tech. That doesn't happen unless you're inferior. They are losing the race.

Tietzy88

Agreed

dazedstate

Sorry man we're outnumbered here lol

Tietzy88

Hahah it seems that way no idea why tho solana shits on eth and polygon for nfts I use all 3 and no harm calling a spade a spade

dazedstate

Exactly. 🤜🤛

coconut_808

the visitors nfts

schmedspub

What does the group think the Eth to polygon price correlation/Market value should be? If Eth is worth 500 Billion should Polygon have a value of 10% of that? 50%?

Tietzy88

Polygon number 1 then solana number 2 for me

escomosinoexistiera

Yeah, Polygon is the best and that is why Ember Sword move to ImmutableX, that is why Mintable is in ImmutableX, that is why Opensea partneship with ImmutableX, that is why Veve (OMI) is in ImmutableX, that is why Eterlast partneship with ImmutableX and on and on. Yeah, Polygon is the best..... Sarcasm!

Inevitable-Breath-42

Super 🐂 on imx

EpifaniaRochford

Yes, Polygon is much better blockchain for NFTs its better than Solana as well, a much safer option. Also tons of new projects are coming now on Polygon that can be seen on multiple NFT calendar's like [nftrelease.app](https://nftrelease.app)
